Ring magazine has him low blowing Kid Gavilan in a fantasy matchup.

    And I quote:

"Gavilan shades the early rounds with his highter work rate and drops Trinidad for a short count in round four. The Puerto Rican gets up and sinks one into the Cuban's groin, earning a point deduction."

Wow, that has to have been one of the worst breakdowns of a fight I have ever seen in my life.

By the way, do you have that issue? I'm interested in hearing some of the matchups they had.

That's an unsubstantiated rumor started by Vargas's balls!

Yea its analysis comes in two parts- one part very solid which is the breakdown of fighters and one part very weak in the description of the fight. The fight descriptions just wreaked of whatever the last fight was of each particular fighter- like this one.

I have it, its got some good matchups? Any interest in particular? Name me a fighter and I will give you the Ring pick.

    Thanks:good

I remember when this issue came out. Never got around to buying it. Hopefully a website or auction site has it.

What? I'm shocked that they didn't add that Don Felix wouldn't re-wrap Tito's hands since they were already done without anyone else present.

If you can't find it, let me know and I will mail it to you for a while.

By the way, I just ordered some fights, and will have some footage of Duilio Loi soon.

"Despite Trinidad's illegally wrapped groin seakers, Gavilan is able to mambo is way to victory over fifteen rounds."

    I left that part out.

A poster on this site, Ragingbull, has an enourmous list of fights and is a pleasure to work with- real helpfull in helping you select fights.

I bought three DVDs and have Camacho, Loi, Gavilan, Chocolate, Elorde, and Pep coming to the house.

I will post about it more this weekend.
