Best way to answer this is to ask you to track down the highlights from Morrell's 12 round dismantling and eventual demolition of Aidos Yerbossynuly. He nearly killed Yerbossynuly with his 12th round onslaught, put him in a coma and has certainly ended his career. Keep in mind that Yerbossynuly was a fighter that was getting ducked by others in SMW, himself.

I see no chance that Canelo or Benavidez will fight him at 168. I'm less than sure that Bivol or Beterbiev would fight him at 174.

He has immense natural talent and he's matured very quickly.

Benavidez has zero reason to fight him but Morrell is Canelos Mando, as he holds the interim WBA. Canelo obviously never ever fights him.

Canelo will fight Crawford at 168 next. Absolutely ridiculous, yes, but it's a nine figure fight. Even if Bud only gets 25% - he could be looking at $35 mil after the PPVs. Worth taking the "L".

After that Canelo will probably close out his career with an even more ridiculous fight w/ Jake Paul where he's given a 168 lb limit and Jake is given a 200 lb limit.

I doubt Canelo is fighting Crawford next. It will likely be Munguia in May then Benevidez in September if he can get by Andrade with no controversy.

Nah, he is chasing exactly who I predicted he would fight next, if it was not Mall. A perfect showcase fight.

I'd forgotten about Munguia. I don't think he'll ever go near Benavidez or Morell Jr.

Munguia v. Canelo is a big fight and it's been marinating for a bit. No longer 100% risk-free for Canelo though and Canelo v. Crawford is bigger and basically risk-free.

Maybe Canelo fights Jermall Charlo next if Jermall makes it past the very dangerous Jose Benavidez Jr.? And then fights Crawford in the last 3 months of 2024.

Its a joke fight with a guy who is no threat and has nothing to earn the fight. Its a good money fight though. Marinating? I don't recall anyone ever calling for that fight.

Canelo v. Munguia had been discussed even before Canelo split w/ Golden Boy. I believe ODLH referred to it as "a special project for when the time is right".

Who wants it? 134 million Mexicans in Mexico and a few dozen millions of Mexican-Americans would be calling for that fight, I think. The Mexican-American boxing fans I know love Munguia, btw. I think they like him more than Benavidez who at least a couple of my friends have called a "Pocho".

18 months ago this is 100% of a joke fight. Munguia is a wild man and Canelo would take his head off with counter shots by Round 5. But after getting trounced by Bivol, tiring against old man Golovkin, and failing to put away Ryder and Charlo? If Munguia can clean up his act for the first 7-8 rounds he's a risk. He's not a pit-pat hitter like Plant, after all.

Mungia just went life and death with Derevyanchenko and almost stopped, and you are writing that?

Mungia and Canelo have not been fighting in the same division ever, and Mungia has never been rated highly so that is not a fight that has been marinating, they have never been on the same page. Its a clown fight.

So funny how different their body types are, David is so skinny in comparison yet has more power.
