I hope Roy beats Hopkins' ass. That would be sweet.

 

Duran is Duran but he also lost to William Joppy when he was in his 40's did that tarnish his legacy ? No ,the man publically quit in the rematch with Leonard did that tarnish his all time great status ? No so why am I going to knock Jones' legacy for his losses ???

 

Durans quitting made me less of a fan, hence my bias taking over in rankings him worse.....

 

I hear you but the man is still a legend and his accomplishemnts overshadow the losses ..People refer to him as the hands of stone still not MR.NO MAS ..

 

Of course his last 10 fights factor in, maybe not for yourself but for future generations, it shows the lack of longevity.

In his prime he will always be one of the most gifted H2H and a bonefied ATG, what more do you want?

Don't yer think he redeemed himself after that episode of self-inflicted humiliation to come back in his 30's well out of hi natural weight class & beat Moore then become the only lightweight to fight the superbeast Hagler at 160 & go the 15 just to get pipped by a few rounds, get blasted out in 2 by Hearns & then become the only Lightweight champ in history at 37 to win the 160 crown from the man who KO'd the man who KO'd him

SO you're a lesser fan because of New Orleans where he told that running dog Leonard to in effect **** off as 5 months earlier he handed Leonard his arse by beating the crap out of him & becoming only the 2nd Lightweight in History after armstrong to succesfully navigate the path to the WW title & beating the accepted P4P champ Leonard into the bargain.
