It's funny how some people here have built up Cotto like he's this unbeatable fighter

Oh yeah, but I do agree Cotto is beatable. However, I think anyone is beatable, including Floyd.

hahaha id have to disagree with you on the Chin Argument.

He's Gotten dazed (sometimes badly sometimes not so bad) but still dangerously 4 times

    Corley dangerously
    Torres dangerously
Shane Noticeably (id say 6 out of 10 - 10 being the worse)
Zab Noticeably (id say 5 out of 10)

Maybe Today Ill go through all of cotto's fights and see if there were any other moments where he was put in danger

I understand what you are saying. I'm not saying his chin is iron, but I dont think it's as bad as people make it out to be.

Oh, if you want to know another fight where he may have been slightly dazed for a brief moment, i'd say vs Abdullaev. I think he gets caught against the ropes.

Oh, I still dont think he was dazed against Mosley. Yes, he got caught, but I dont think he was hurt. That Judah uppercut was ridiculous and it clearly stunned him, but I thought he coped with it well.

    ...Whats so funny?

If he had a weakness would it not be exposed by now? Oscar as great as he is, having fought B-Hop, JCC, SSM x 2, Vargas, Sweet Pea, Trinidad, Camacho, an Olympic Gold Medal in his pocket, years of experience against every style under the sun, would he have not "exposed" this weakness??

COTTO DOES A WONDERFUL JOB OF MASKING WHEN HES HURT!!

when hes hurt he gets low and increases body movement and it throws off the opponent.. it makes him look like hes ok...

I havent seen cotto in the abdullaev fight but im going to check it out today..

but when people say cotto has a weak chin... i think everyone just thinks that he can be phased....

Antonio margarito is someone weve never seen phased
Oscar is someone (i dont think) weve seen phased
Floyd is someone (1nce) weve never really seen as phased

cotto weve seen phased multiple times so people will always say he is more vulnerable to shots then others

Not really b/c Oscar is the definition of a past prime fighter. He has been more of a promoter than fighter for the past 2 or 3 years. Also, oscar has been an average fighter at best since 2003.

Between Margarito, DLH, and FLoyd, I'd say Oscar has the best chin. Margarito, I've seen phased only once and that was against Santos in the 1st round (although santos was bigger than him). FLoyd, I've only seen hurt against Corley (he was hurt nearly as bad as Cotto). DLh, I've never seen hurt with a punch to the face.

But yeah, you're right. Cotto can definitely be phased, but does a great job at hiding it and also has amazing recovery ability.

Shane is past prime, but not like oscar b/c Shane, unlike oscar, has been very active.

And why exactly is beating Oscar more impressive than beating shane? Please explain this?

You cant say something like this without backing it up.

That may be but this is not what the scorecards read and at the end of the day that is what goes in the record books and on the fighters resume.

Outside of Forrest and Winky, what punishment has shane taken? I wouldnt say he has taken any really.

As far as the weight issue is concerned, Shane's fight before Cotto was at 147 so his body was already accustomed to the weight. Shane has always been more disciplined with his body than Oscar has so to say making 147 was harder than Oscar making 154 is only speculation.
Shane also fought Cotto 9months after he fought Collazo. That is a pretty fresh fighter if you ask me. Also, Mosley may not have a jab, but DLH doesnt have any kind of stamina what so ever. The fact is they were both ok wins against fighters who were both past their primes. To say FLoyd's victory over DLH is better or worse is stupid. Both Floyd and Cotto beat past prime HOF fighters, PERIOD!!

Nah, I dont think urkal did anything except headbutt him, which pissed Cotto off.
