It's funny and sad, that young & up and coming fighters dream and aim for years, of winning an Alphabet Title (WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, etc.), so that they get worldwide recognition, then, at their convenience, they abandon those titles when they no longer feel the need for them. Shame. atsch :-( The Alphabet titles have a right to sanctioning fees, because they helped the fighter get worldwide recognition by having their belts wrapped around their waists and being called ..."World Champion".
I just find it funny that, all of a sudden, Cotto choses now to "make a stand". He has had titles before and didn't do this...so...why now?
