...that it's pretty much part of the fighter. Some guys are just going to come into every fight fat. That's sort of what you get when you are fighting the Arreola package. It's like Vitali and Wlad. They never come in with an ounce of flab...and that's pretty much what you get when you fight them.
You are saying that Arreola's laziness should be excused because it's a consistent pattern of laziness? I say he should find a different job and quit wasting everyone's time pretending to be a top level fighter.
Arreola is that fat because he doesn't train hard enough, and won most of his fights with his brute strength and power. The guy is a poor man's Sam Peter in almost every way, he's going to get harpooned by Vitali.
In order for him to have a puncher's chance he needs to come in the best shape of his career. He should weigh no more than 240 IMO. This is a super fight for Chris and great opportunity for him he can become the first Mexican HW champ. And it would be a crying shame if he never even had a chance because he didn't come in shape and the fight was already lost on the scales.
I agree and the only advantage coming into the fight if you can call it an advantage for Arreola is his aggression, but if hes not in great shape this is gonna be one hell of a long "nightmare" for Arreola
He'd still look pretty flabby at 240lb, but that's a reasonable weight for him, though it may not be his optimum weight. 250+ is FAR from optimum. "It's like Vitali and Wlad." That's nonsense (and likely just a bait statement). They come in at an optimum weight. Because of his fluctuations, lack of discipline and pretty weak oposition, Arreola has no idea what his optimum weight is. But it ain't 250.
What I'm saying is that it's not like Chris Arreola HASN'T come into a fight fat before. He started his career lighter but he wasn't thin then either. It's part of the Arreola package. It's like asking "what if Sam Peter came into a fight 220 lbs?" ...well then he wouldn't be Sam Peter.
If dude is flabby that's his bizness IMO, But did/does he have the stamina & put in the work? (That's what most take away from his soft exterior)
Your point is that being a fat lazy waster is a part of his essential make-up, so we shouldn't even discuss how much better he could be if he got off his arse and dedicated himself?
More or less. It's like saying "what if Wlad was 6'1", how would he fare?" It just ain't gonna happen.
