114-113 JMM, no robbery by any means but I thought the win was clear.

Brilliant fight! Would love to see a 3rd, but it might not be in the cards. Pac was just stronger and younger, a great in his prime, and has improved dramatically...JMM is a bit past his prime, but fought a near-perfect fight. Pac really showed some grit to work through that bad eye in the 8th. JMM also proved, once again, that he has the heart of a lion, by weathering a few really bad moments. How many fighters can get nailed by Pac, like he did, and not only survive, but work their way back into a position to win? These two really bring out the best in each other!

I had the fight even: 6-5-1 for JMM, minus a pt for the kd; I had the 1st rd even. No one I watched the fight with griped about the decision, some disappointment, yes, but how can anyone argue the point? Great night for boxing.

And I haven't insinuated that there was a robbery.

For the last time, I am only arguing that saying the judges score the fight more accurately because of their proximity to the ring doesn't make sense.

I said, since you care to quote me: "It's impossible for Pacman to win a decision over JMM without scoring at least 2 KDs". And I picked Pacquiao by TKO...thinking that, although he won's score 2 KDs without scoring a stoppage, he might score a stoppage, in the last third...

    Was I right?:hey

Anyway...it doesn't matter what I scored it; I'm notoriously bad at scoring!

Your being defensive. If you had pac winning by a small margin, I'm fine with that. If you had him winning by several rounds, or winning the 12th like that twat Domingo, then obviously I disagree.

And some who had JMM winning picked Pac to win, so don't make assumptions.

I made the thread because its rare that so many of the best posters here were in agreement about who won the fight, especially given that the decision was given to the other man. I don't remember a time like this.

    I gotta rewatch it sober.

Close fight and some rounds could have gone either way.

At least the jugdes scoring reflected the fight....close.

this is why no one takes what you write seriously. it is complete and utter bull**** that the pac fans accepted the draw. try telling it like it is for a change, i know its a foreign concept for you but you may earn a little respect from real men. i dont know you personaly so i can only go by what you write and there isnt an inkling of truth in the majority of your posts. i am in no way a snob or elitist but how can you not look down on someone who writes with so little regard for the truth.

The fight was close, and well if you were rooting for a particular fighter you realize that you might be swayed toward giving that fighter the close round or the benefit of the doubt. I have to say a few rounds were very very close and I couldnt say with any certainty who won those rounds. I thought Pac did enough to squeak by the slimmest of margins but, I really wasnt sure and could see the door was open for Marquez to possibly get the Nod.

Yet you have guys here claiming this or that, it was that close and I will have to rewatch the fight to see if indeed it was one way or the other.

What is even more interesting is this: I watched the fight on youtube...Most of the rounds were on what I assume was Pinoy TV...commentators were speaking both in English and in a foreign Language I assumed was Filipino...now...the main analyst was very fair and very good, it seemed to me. I agreed with everything he said and scored in the same way he did. After round 10, though, he had JMM up by 2, if I remember correctly. Someone please confirm. Then, in the 11th, he was calling for "the winning shot that would stop JMM". After the twelfth, he said Pac by 2, if I remember right...seems he was forced to tow the party line...:think

Did I presume wrongly/misunderstand/remember incorrectly??:huh I cannot recheck because the videos have since been removed...

Most of us that thought JMM won are not all nutthuggers, while most that thought Pac won are pure nutthuggers. Its the facts.

Chimba scored it for JMM, but picked Pacquaio.

I scored it for JMM but picked Pacquiao (and I think both are past their primes)

I would like some examples of what you have said, because I don't think that the majority of the people who scored it for JMM did so after picking JMM or picking Pacquiao because JMM was old.

And either way, in reverse, how many of the Pinoy PacFans scored it for Pacquiao? And scored the 12th for Pacquiao?

I don't take issue with someone scoring a close win for Pacquiao. I do take issue with people assuming that other scored it for JMM and had an agenda in doing so.
