I never understood this fight except that Hector's legs were gone at this point. The Hector who fought Rosario would have beaten the Chavez who beat Rosario. Fast hands and good legs.

 

That Rosario fight ruined his confidence in many ways similar to Curry against Honeyghan, even though Camacho beat Rosario, he was damaged. Hector turned from a guy who could avoid any punch to be afraid to get hit again at all, which took away a little of his offense.

 

Not sure about that, but Hector was lucky to catch Howard when he did. And he was one of Hector's heroes.
