It's mind-blowing how Ruiz took this shot and stayed conscious let alone on his feet (VID)

    Timestamped.

This is seconds after the massive right uppercut and left hook combo that floored him. Totally unreal that he didn't even buckle.

I do think Joshua's power is overrated but I think Ruiz showed there that he arguably has the best chin in boxing. That is unreal resilience.

Ruiz has a very good chin but Joshua's power is insanely overrated.

If Wilder landed like that they better have a stretcher ready to go with 12 men to carry it

    Joshua's "power"

Hit exhausted old man Wlad flush approx 200x before ref stopped it

Hit Takam (who got KTFO by Povetkin and chisora) approx 10,000 times before the ref stopped the unhurt and bemused middle aged Frenchman who was cheered out of the ring and AJ booed

Hit Parker loads of times and never hurt him but Whyte dropped him x2

Almost all of his stoppages are British stoppages with Terry O'Connor stepping in and waving his arms as the opponent blocks most of the shots

Has a great chin which is why I lean towards him in the rematch. If AJ comes out swinging he’ll most likely hang in there and catch AJ and take over. Can’t wait to see what happens.

Yeah I remember that punch, it stuck in my head because it showed AJ couldn’t get him out if there with brute force, he ended up getting taken out himself. I’ll be interested to see his next strategy, a lot of different opinions. One things for sure that AJ looks to be more vulnerable in close in a fire fight. It’s likely the same thing would happen again if he goes that route.

    The video is geo-blocked.

But yeah, Ruiz took that punch amazingly well. He also knew that he couldn’t back away but needed to be close to Joshua. At first I thought Ruiz would be clinching, but he even decided to retaliate with his own punches. All in all, that’s a great chin, heart and experience combined.

Shame the vid is blocked. This is the first time I've watched the Sky broadcast and Adam Smith's commentary is ****ing hilarious.

I think AJ will keep it boring and long in the rematch but I don’t think he has the skills to do that but maybe he’ll prove everyone wrong and pull off a masterclass. I’d say most people are expecting Ruiz to do the same again so AJ hasn’t got too much to lose at this point.

3rd round seconds after Ruiz got up from the knockdown. A straight right hand landed flush.

It happens. There are shots some fighters take that should have knocked them out, but didn't. Could be a difference of an inch on the head/face.

So maybe AJs power is overrated. Just like somebody said he couldn't even hurt Takam. His best KOs are Povetkin close to 40 and Klitschko 41.

We already knew he had a very good chin, but yes that was a great shot he took given the circumstances and what he was able to achieve afterwards. Best chin in the division? At the top level it's between him and Parker, and Ruiz is still able to fight back under fire so I'll go with him.

267lbs of pure blubber destroyed that puny 247lb bodybuilder. Joshua was running for his life when he realized the behemoth blob was eating his best shots like French fries. Lol.

Ruiz was in a hurry to get back to the all you can eat hotel buffet and he knew the sooner he could get Joshua out of there the sooner he could hit the chicken wings. Never get between a beast and its food.
