Sort of reminds me of the crowd who used to claim that Juan Carlos Gomez would beat the klitschko's. The same general dynamic is at play here.

Lara is with Haymon and Haymon fighters are in limbo.

There is almost 0 chance that fight is happening.

I agree. While I would favor GGG in that fight, I do think Lara would shine at some points in the fight. I'd love to see that on HBO. Let's hope Haymon, Oscar, or whoever Lara is with can someday make this happen.

The guys who come on here saying GGG is ducking Haymon's fighter are probably trolls paid by Al Haymon.

Al Haymon wants GGG and HBO out of the picture, and hates that GGG doesn't want to sign with him.

Lara DID indeed mention he'd be interested in facing GGG.....however, GGG already had 3 suitable fights tentatively agreed on ATT against Lee, Murray, and Kirkland.

Murray being first choice, Kirkland second, and Lee as a failsafe.

Then his pops died, and that April date with him.

Where was Lara prior to the signing of Rubio......Im certain if Al felt like killing one of his fighters, he'd have contracts ready.:think:think

The timing of Lara's willingness is suspect considering GGG had 3 other more high profile names near signing.:think

Lara is a decent challenge. GGG didn't duck Lara he just had other options that made better business sense. GGG is building a brand....and by destroying his opposition you all see the hype that surrounds this guy. Lara could have been an opponent who caused problems.....not necessarily the guy to beat Golovkin but one that could have derailed the process of building to this point we are at now with GGG. Lara still is in the running down the line but losing to Nelo didn't help.
