Wilder would of been ko’d inside 3 rounds his team knew it too. Too many angles , too much expert timing for a flawed defensively weak wilder

Wilder wouldnt get to land his money maker punch, or should i say the ONLY punch. The big right hand.

I don't know. He could have done. Povetkin's been open to right hands before, and has a habit of pulling back straight up when he takes them. Watch the Chambers fight or the Huck fight. Gets caught by a lot of rights in both. The Chambers shots were quite well timed, but the Huck shots were pure wildman stuff.

That's one of the things that had me picking Wilder to win initially, but I think Povetkin would have tailored his gameplan specifically to neturalise the punch. After which Wilder doesn't have a prayer.

Well, I'm not sure about the specifics of a Wilder-Pov matchup.

But, still, the KO did a lot about (especially heavyweight) boxing and boxing matchmaking..

If you keep taking 70:30, or even 80:20, shots like Whyte has been doing you're going to lose one sooner rather than later, because, y'know, it can happen, that is the nature of probability. really it makes the cherry picking of someone like Wilder a lot more understandable and forgivable, and even that went wrong in the end, when he thought a fight against a 350lb schizo gypsy would be a sure thing
