Its not Lopez chin problem, its a Defence problem

Lopez puts a lot on his punches. Fighters who do that are open to getting countered. Lopez was opening up A LOT... so he was open for counters a lot. That's just the way it is. It makes him who he is, and he isn't going to change.

 

If you say so, but still the best boxer compared to what Gamboa has faced.

 

I'd like to see Gamboa against De Leon, Rafa, Luveuno, Concepcion, Penalosa. Hell Gamboa hasn't fought anyone as good as Medina. But we're going to hang our hat on Lopez' tussle with Mtwaga.
I don't think it unreasonable to assume Lopez might've taken that fight a bit lightly and almost paid for it. But he still found a way to gut it out and get the win.
He's gone on to beat a lot of guys that are a lot better than anyone Gamboa has faced.
You can take that list I started with and pick it apart and tell me how Boa would destroy them all, but the fact remains that he hasn't faced anyone all that good yet. And until he faces and beats a couple of top-level guys, don't try to convince me that he's better than Lopez by pointing to a B- level guy.

 

although i agree that it's juanma and rafa's night, i have to say that juanma will not look good against gamboa. gamboa's way faster and packs a meaner punch as well. to think i'm a big juanma fan...

 

Who has Gamboa fought??

Consider the level of opposition that Gamboa has faced versus Lopez. Not even in the same league. Put Gamboa in with some of the better talent, with his questionable defense ... than lets have this conversation.
