Never liked bum but tomato can is just a name for a role within the sport.

If you're 8-107-12 you have to have realized what it is you do and made some peace with it. When it's applied to someone who's won 90%+ of their fights and is still coming to win then it's annoying.

So is 'bum', but most of those who use it abuse the term/don't know what it really means.

'Bum', specifically, denotes a type of fighter who habitually turns up to get paid without genuine ambition and belief that he can win. Éric Molina has been very bummy of late.

Haha, so you're expecting to lose the gentleman's bet, not too confident of Kell winning this weekend?

No i still pick Brook, always have so going to stick with it

My point being starting such a thread wont be too hard for me regardless
As as much as I rag on Canelo for certain things, his talent isn't one of them

There was this local gym called dynamo boxing, an old heavyweight who medalled in Olympics at 64 I think? Anyway his pad work would go "one two now swing swing swing" straight brawler style. He taught us how to punch with one hand while covering the face with the other hand and vice versa. One primadonna at the gym called it a "bum gym" many weren't cool with that. He used to sell submarine sandwiches and let us read all his copies of ring magazine lying around. Not a bad coach at all. Feel sorry what happened to him, a car accident that buggared him up. Anyway he had a common opponent as Mike Tyson if that even means anything. Ah well.

Yeah and likewise I don't think I'd have much trouble starting a GGG appreciation topic and pointing out the success he had against Canelo. Though I think it'll be funny and entertaining depending on who wins this bet and how this plays out.

I'm mainly looking for someone other than me to talk about how well Canelo fought GGG, particularly in that first match against GGG, since it's rarely talked about, all we hear from most on here is how much of a robbery it was because GGG didn't win. If Khan beats Brook, and you're a man of your word, I'll look for that from you. And if Brook wins, I'll be sure to own up to my end of the bargain by making a topic praising GGG's contributions to boxing and pointing out how well GGG fought against Canelo and how hard it was for Canelo to beat him.

And let me just say, may the best man win Saturday Night. We've been waiting for this night for a long time, after a decade of debates over who is better and who would win if they fought, we finally find out who is better - King Khan or Special K. Better Late than Never!

Personally I think Kell is in big trouble, and it will be a glorious night for Khan. But I've been wrong before, and if I'm wrong I'll be a man about it and give full credit to Kell. Can't wait for this!
