Any fans of a fighter instead of fans of boxing are the worst. You can like a guy sure, nothing wrong with it, but when you love them unconditionally it can get out of hand.

They support their guy, hype him to death, say he'll beat this guy and that guy whether they're 2 weight divisions higher an atg or what. All the while they slag off every threat to said fighter, but then big them up if their guy wins. There's always an excuse for a bad performance, they never duck anyone (its always business), but if another fighter isnt rushing to fight their guy then its because they are obviously ducking. You can't reason with them and when you criticise their guy they resort to playground name calling.

Joyboys, Pavlikers, Margaritoids, Joeblowers, Hattonites, Witter Wankers, Pacmaniacs, whoever, the guilty are widespread

Oh and I forgot, they love to pull others down for hugging or hating when they do it themselves.

 

IMO Hopkins > Hagler

Hagler is a great middleweight but I believe Hopkins is greater

I think it depends, but you are unfair to accuse most Hatton fans of only becoming interested before the Floyd fight!

I think a lot of the crap comes from cross-Atlantic jibes (from both sides) about the respective areas fighters. America does have a lot more high profile names, and is, admittedly, where the money is, but what is wrong with some of your guys coming over here for a change?

Imagine what it would do for, say, Kelly Pavlik's legacy to beat Joe Calzaghe (doubt it) in his own backyard, as opposed to Atlantic City?
