Go somewhere else with your bull****, fighters fight for legacy, to grab a few coins, for fans, for the love of a fight but not to end fellow competitors' career. Hatton retired on his own terms not on Pac's or anyone else's, you should show some respect for the fighter who dominated the 140lbs division for years and actually gave your boy one of his biggest wins.
good for him, his health is more important than the money, which he could of made a lot of if he decided to continue
Well, hatton thought hè couldnt lose at 140 and pac destroyed That, its logical that he struggles mentally after that. Im happy he retired because it would be downhill from here.
I respect Hatton, he's a warrior. Yes it's Hatton's own personal decision to retire but in the case of boxers, retirement is usually (or mainly) based on his performance on his very last fight. How many times you've heard boxer A retired boxer B? You can even hear boxers saying "I will send you to retirement".
Hatton probably just lost all motivation to fight on. He took alot of power punches against Pac, an amazing amount really for 2 rounds, and the KO was brutal, but the lasting damage was likely the mental aspect, rather than physical. Mayweather Sr fooled him into believing he was walking through Pacquiao for his greatest win, he was convinced he couldn't lose, and then to lose like that had to be shattering to say the least. All the best to Ricky, I hope he remains in the sport, he did alot for boxing as a fighter, and I hope he can continue in that vain with his promotional company
You know, I sometimes believe that Manny would be hugely embarrassed by some of the pathetic things written about him by his fans on this site. Case. In. Point.
