Looks like Bisping is going to replace Akiyama. I still fancy Wand to take out Bisping, even though he is past his best. Hope they find a good opponent for Akiyama. http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=10091&zoneid=13
this is a good fight to see. you got to love the ufc. i'm growing to like dana. if bisping was a boxer he'd be fighting his second complete journeyman at the moment and try to position himself for a title without fighting a genuine fight.
This will be like the Leben fight. Bisping will circle and potshot and circle and potshot and if Wand can't catch him and hold him Bisping will win a decision. I'm not really very excited about this fight.
I think Wanderlei wins by devestating KO. Look how well Wand did with Rich Franklin who is a good 2 levels above Bisping atleast and they fight similar. Wand will have no respect for Bispings power because he simply does not have any and hurt him badly with a overhand right, once that happens Wanderlei has one of the great killer instincts he will eat Bisping up and finish him.
Depends what Bisping turns up. The one who fought Henderson would be winning fighting scared and Silva would rely on catching him ala Henderson. The Bisping versus Kang makes things interesting. He might get touched a few times but he could win the fight more impressively and conclusively. I think Bispign needs to keep improving his grappling as when he gets caught clean he chin breaks.
The difference is that this fight will be taking place at middleweight, as opposed to a 195 pound catchweight fight. When was the last time Wanderlei made 185? To be honest this is a fight I really didn't want to see speaking as a Bisping fan. If he wins most people will dismiss Wanderlei as shot (which he may well be); if Wanderlei isn't effected by having to shift the weight, well ...
