Just finished reading the whole thing, but couldn't wait to put that up since no one else did. Also looks like that 'option' for two fights is still there.

As for the options, Boente stood firm on the request for two options in the event that Haye, who is not a mandatory challenger, wins.
"In the end, they agreed to the two options," Boente said.
That means if Haye wins, Klitschko's company, K2 Promotions, will promote his next two fights. His first defense would either be against Klitschko in an immediate rematch or a fight with Vitali Klitschko. If Haye also wins that fight, his second defense would come against the other Klitschko.

So Haye has to beat both brothers, and one of them twice eh? Yet he still signed, what does that tell you :yep

WALDO is going down in this fight, mark my words.

"Haye's only revenue on the fight, which will be millions, comes from Setanta's multi-million dollar rights fee. Klitschko will receive the agreed to portion of the Setanta money plus all the other revenue the fight generates, including rights fees from HBO, which will carry the fight live in the United States, RTL in Germany, the rest of the foreign television sales, the live gate and sponsorship money.

As for the options, Boente stood firm on the request for two options in the event that Haye, who is not a mandatory challenger, wins."

From the espn website the deal seems to suggest it was wald who was messing the fight up, after all you have said about a fair deal chef it looks like wlad has been the one going for the cash.

Rematch standard. Second for another major belt. Sounds generous to Haye if you ask me. Can you think of anyone else that ever got that kind of deal?

Your missing the part about Wlad wanting the fight in London and the part where Haye would have got more money if the London venue had been secured:deal

generous , he only gets the fight if he wins, if you are the champ you can make the deals so why is a two rematch clause generous?

The cash was never the problem..Haye even said so.... what happened was Haye didnt deliver what he said he could to the pot... so instead of putting it ALL together... each guy keeps what they would bring in to the pot.... I dont know about Wlad getting a small % of Sentanta

So what if he wuld have got more money from the london venue, it was established quite early that was a non starter. Wlad has a cut of the setanta money and then everything else as well, haye just has a share of the setanta money no wonder he wanted a big spilt of that.:deal

As Chef says, it would mean more money than Haye would know what to do with. Generous because it also gives him a shot at another major belt. Talk about shortcut. Generous is the right word.
