Hatton may be the old lion and Malignaggi may indeed not be much of a pretender but to assume Hatton is no longer the man would be to stretch reality a bit too far...Hatton's the man and until someone beats him, he remains the man.

swap Kotelnik with Torres and sneak Victor Ortiz in there and I'd be in agreement with that

I wouldn't classify them as butthurt. That would assume they keep getting thrashed by our US boxers. And we know that isn't the case.

Fact is, the brits just whooped us in a contest of three for three. First Calzaghe, then Haye, then Hatton. Like it or not, the butt hurtin' was on US boxers.

The problem is that many fans have a hard time accepting reality. In the US, there is a deeply entrenched preconception of what a top fighter looks and acts like. We're under the illusion that top fighters must be urban, self-aggrandizing, blinged-out conspicuous consumers who come from the streets. Hip-hop culture, US based. It's a sterotype of a stereotype.

The brits, among others, are fast proving that top level competition comes in all looks and types.

But in the end, we look bad when we can't give credit where credit is due. The FACT is that Calzaghe has put together a string of undeliably excellent performances against the old guard of US P4P fighters. He's taken down up and comers and cleared out the old lions.

Hatton, aside from him loss to the great Floyd Jr., has also put together an impressive career. And while the verdict is still out on Haye's viability as a top HW, he has definitely made an entrance that no one can deny.

I'm from the US and I want our fighters to do well. But I'm also a fan of boxing, so I enjoy and salute the recent performances of these three dudes.

It's a new era of boxing. Get onboard.

Not a single person in 45 fights at 140 have been able to, so he can't be that bad.

Woah buddy. You're making some way off base (and pretty foolish) assumptions, I don't think you know me at all.

I'm not anti-Brit at all and certainly don't have any pro-US agenda. I just feel Hatton in particular has always been overrated; especially so over the last few years resting on the laurels of past accomplishments. Don't make a nationalistic thing out of something that isn't.

Bradley has only ever fought two guys ranked in the top 50 at Light Welter.

Well it`s because your a bit of a knob,Bradley even got lucky against Witter.Witter was only 70% of his potential in that fight. That scared little twat won`t give Witter a rematch, even in Bradleys backyard.

Wow...This is so full of ******ation I don't know where to even begin.

This "Bradley got lucky" bull**** is almost as poor as some of the anti-Hatton theories being kicked around.

Seriously is intelligence dying in these parts or am I going nuts?
