You people should understand that Hatton lost against PBF because Floyd was the better man in the ring. It has nothing to do with the ref's performance. I was rooting for Hatton, I still like him much better than Floyd but Mayweather won fair and square. Cortez is one of the most experienced and best referees out there. No need for whining. So Calzaghe UD. :hey

Exactly I tried to make that point earlier.......Calzaghe outworks Hopkins for a clear UD in my opinion....unless Hopkins gets the KO with a big counter punch

We ALL know the fight is probably going 12 and it's no secret Bernard's probably not knocking out Joe C.

You DO know that the "WORST" way to gauge how a fight is going to go right? A fighter beats B fighter so he'll beat C fighter

Boxing is all about styles and matchups and Bernard is going to make Calzaghe look VERY foolish throwing them "slaps." I'm not saying he's going to counter punch Joe to death, but by the end of the fight, Joe C is going to look very "ordinary." - Mark my words

Calzaghe wont get mad either..........when he fought Mitchell he wasnt mad he was just in a bad place and swinging to save him self from defeat so the argument is pointless

we'll see i guess......Lacy called him a slapper and he was in agony after their fight....obv Hopkins is better than Lacy.....I mean Calzaghe said Mario Veit was better than Lacy but even I noticed than Hopkins has said a lot fo things about Joe Calzaghe but he hasnt made the mistake of calling him a slapper

Listen, if Calzaghe is so superior and gonna whoop that Old Man's azz, what is with the ref now? I say Cortez is gonna benefit Calzaghe if anyone, and guys change their prediction from Calzaghe wide UD or late TKO to Hopkins by decision or conspiracy? Doesn't make sense... Actually, it never made any sense - the refs, the judges, the entire atmosphere is gonna rob Calzaghe of his long-deserved and guaranteed victory, and Hopkins is some sort of idiot that has nothing to do! What a laugh.

Nope, but he fights more ferociously - which equals that Hopkins will be in even more trouble. No blind ref is gonna help him.

I think that that is right given Hopkins' spoiler style. Still think Joe will take it though - whilst looking ordinary! :bart

Cortez is not going to decide the outcome of this fight.

More pre-emptive excuses from the delusional Calzaghe fanboys! I can't wait to hear the streaming list of excuses after Hopkins outclasses the overhypes slapper.

I just cant wait. After your prediction that Guiliani would be next president you would think you would quit predicting anything.

I would be more worried about him penalizing Calzaghe for his rabbit punching. He got warned 4 times about bashing Kessler behind the head without getting any points deducted in that fight. OK, Ortega stopped Calzaghe when he had Kessler in trouble in the 8'th, but even then he was slamming his fist against the back of Kesslers head.

Did you hear Mikkel complaining after the fight about rabit punching or did you hear him complain at all?

Also Rummy you thought that Gulliani was going to be the next president,.

That is your second worst pick ever :yep

Bernard is going to get away with foul play regardless of who is in there with him. He is going to get away with some shots to the leg on the other side, he is going to land a headbutt which won't be difficult while fighting a Southpaw, and other such things. Just because a foul happens and he's known for it, if you can look at it and say, "Bernard intentionally headbutted Calzaghe" rather than "their heads clashed", you can't just take a point from Bernard - regardless of his reputation. I can't wait to see how this one plays out.
