I like Gamboa, but John deserves to cap off his career with a defining win (and Yuriorkis has plenty of time, and can easily rebuild from a loss).

I see Gamboa having a lot of issues with his leaky defense and getting hit accurately, and frequently. CJ might not be a great matchup for him. But we'll see. I respect YG for taking this fight, tough career challenge stylewise and adding another alphabet soup belt to his collection should be incentive enough for him to excel here.

 

You heard wrong, try to track down a copy, John won easy, Marquez should have lost more points for low blows and had no complaints afterwards, until he got home.

Will be a good fight regardless, I'm hoping Johns boxing skills will be too much for Gamboa.

I agree, I'm excited for this fight. I got Gamboa and I see him as a top 10 p4per after this win and then hopefully he fights Juan Manuel Lopez and the winner will take Juan Marquez's spot on the list

 

Winner will be p4p top10. Gamboa will have a difficult night but beating Chris John means more than beating Rafa Marquez.

Just because the WBA saids what it saids doesnt make it offcial. A lot of things can happen before now and March and Arum can negotiate with the organization. I hope the fight happens but dont get your hopes up cause that's not how boxing works.
