8 mill on the table for margarito, floyd said no and took like 4-5 mill or less against baldomir. margarito came up to him in vegas and floyd started stuttering like a scared young boy and than was looking around all insecure when margarito left. in an radio interview he said, why he didn't wanna fight paul williams when paul was one of the best boxers around "he too tall" in 2003 tszyu was king and weighing 140 pounds, floyd was 135, could easily have challenged tszyu and make a big fight. yet he probably had nightmares from the judah fight and knew kostya could handle fast athletic boxers and decided to take on less challenging challenges in Ndou and Sosa and since ~2009 he stays away from pacquiao
So the circus is back in town & it's the only circus that will have 16,000 paying clowns in attendance. **** sake, even the most die hard ***** must surely now realise that floyd is jerking them off, how many times has he got to tell them, max reward minimum risk, health, vacation, no interest, pac yooz next, hungry young lion, what a joke on the sport of boxing this is. From a bizz perspective i don't blame floyd one bit if HBO allow him to do this, it's HBO who think you *****s are all a bunch of wanks & guaranteed PPv subscribers Well loyalty has it's price & it's $70+ a pop to support another joke of a contest.:deal
I buried the Kostya Tzyu myth as well Cut that out. That whole myth is complete bullship. There are multiple reasons why this fight didn't come off. Just because a fight didn't happen, doesn't mean it was Floyd ducking. :nono Floyd has wanted this fight for the longest. He was calling out Zoo before he was even at 140 pounds. One big reason the fight didn't get made was because of Floyd's contract with HBO and Zoo's contract with Showtime. The two networks don't have their fighters fight except for big fights, and this wasn't considered one at the time. I can bring you muliple quotes of Floyd saying he wanted the fight. Can anybody bring me one from Kostya mentioning Floyd? This whole myth is nonsense. Plus lets look at the timeline: Kostya fought Jesse James Leija 01-19-2003 Floyd fought N'Dou 11-01-2003 (Floyd's last fight at 135) Kostya fight with Mitchell postponed because of shoulder injury 2-7-2004 Floyd fought Demarcus Corley 05-22-2004 (first fight at 140) Kostya fought Sharmba Mitchell 11-06-2004 (after postponement from injury) Kostya loses to Ricky Hatton 06-04-2005 (In mandatory defense. Retires afterward) Floyd fought Henry Bruseles 01-22-2005 (coming off longest layoff of career at the time) Now tell me, when would this fight have tooken place? And Lance before you come on this thread talking ship, you should read your own post
even if the margarito myth is burried by you, even if it is true like you saying, how come he since 4 years can't fight guy who is as small as my leg? and better say nothing because it is 100 % obvious that he ducks pacquiao and if you watch that video, the way how he reacts and start stuttering and feeling totaly uncomfortable you can see he wants no part of tall strong fighter like antonio or pw. Sorry but you can't read and youre not paying attention. "Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million. Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in. "That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road." http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=2420382 He fought Mosley and Oscar but he was afraid of brick gloves. Son get it together! So Floyd who was a 135lber was afraid of a 140lber who fought on a different network and since beating Judah had went on an incredible run of Ben Tackie, Jesse James Lieja and Sharamba Mitchell, before Ricky Hatton retired him? :rofl Hatins bad kid This content is protected
It's usually no risk no reward, but with floyd it's no/small risk huge reward. No surprise no threat, again.I'm sure people will be happy dishing out hard earned $70 & hope this cherry picked opponent upsets him like always.Don't count floyd-guerrero out for hug fest of the year .Berto-guerrero holds currently that one but don't be surprised if this fights surpasses it.
his 154 pound resume when floyd fought him 1) Yuri Foreman 2) Ricardo Mayorga (lost 4 out of last 6) :rofl 3) Antonio Margarito (lost 2 out of last 3) who the **** did he beat at 154 that makes him great? so he beats one guy who never did ****, and the 2 other guys had lost 6 out of their last 9 fights. yes, thats a weak ass champion as far as resumes atsch

They deserve to be shocked if he does well. Robert is a manufactured opponent from GoldenBoy just for Floyd. ****ing pathetic. Floyd might KO the ghost, early. Robert really isn't on the level of floyd. He can't outbox him and if he tries to brawl like he did against Berto he will be knocked.
i dunno why peepz is mad... guerrero was chosen by money he must be good.... that bein said, its also martines and the white kid alvarez fault for dodgin floyd, so for punishment they dont get no payday :deal
