Mosley is a much more PPV attractive dance partner than Clottey. Pac - Cotto did something like 1.2m buys, and Shane has a larger fan base than Miguel. Bottom line I think is that Floyd doesn't want this fight. Even if I'm wrong, that's the perception he's creating. Not good for his legacy... not that he gives a ****.
Can't stand Floyd's crying. There is a simple solution. Just do 45/45 or 40/40 and the winner gets the rest. It's only fair the winner gets the bigger share. But Floyd thinks he's Delahoya and wants the bigger share regardless.
Are you listening to what you are saying. One minute he said 14 days and once that was accepted he changed to the day of the fight. Manny called his bluff and he backed down. There is no drug that will not be present 14 days before the fight, give a fighter an advantage and be gone by the post fight drug test. What the hell does floyd think manny is taking?
On what planet does Mosley have a bigger fan base than Cotto? :huh How is Mayweather tarnishing his legacy when he FIRST said USADA, negotiated in good faith, Pac left to fight Clottey saying 14 days wasn't offered, then admitted it was, but fought Clottey anyway. Now Pac is back because he sees all roads lead to Mayweather! You guys are dense! :yep
40/40 splits and winner gets the rest never works in a sport where you have judges deciding the outcome. I don't know why people keep harping for this
Ppv ratings aren't everything when judging a boxers popularity. A high profile American fighter will always get more American ppv than a non American fighter that's obvious. So by having 2 big American names fighting each other in floyd and mosley they were always going to get more ppv than PAC vs cotto. But look at the facts cotto was in his prime when pacman destroyed, where as mosley hadn't won a fight since jan 09. Again this fights my corner in thinking mayweather is not onstrested in risky fights and would prefer to play it safe
Floyd senior should be up to speed on this then. But Floyd's not selling anything. They're trying to agree terms to fight. If they don't fight, it's not like Floyd is still in possession of anything. He won't get paid either you know. Your point is something will happen. Or if it doesn't it won't? I'm just mystified by this whole "Floyd is a brilliant businessman" angle that people take. Based on what, earning big money from fights? Guess he's not quite the business genius of Mike Tyson yet though eh?
Floyd's right in every sense. That $15m is still a career high for Manny Pacquiao because that's a guaranteed purse before ppv.Anyone who wants can do his number crunching based on PPV.Floyd's the bigger dawg
