The pre-fight hype/build up to that is going to be insane.

I wish it would be Floyd vs Pac at a catchweight.

Pac is at a disadvantage by moving up, and Cotto by moving down. Manny is not a 147 fighter but... Cotto is going to be drained and it would probably affect him more than Manny moving up. So if anything, it should be at 147. Or what 145 catchweight? errr, don't know about that.

Anyway Pac haters love to say Pac looked great vs DLH at 147 so he can make the weight fine. But then turn around and say Pac fought a corpse. So how do you know he can fight comfortably at that weight? I mean fighting a corpse should be easy moving up or not right? Typical bull****.

So Pacquiao's team decided that a drained Cotto would be easier than a drained Mosley. Cotto at 147 will give Pac all sorts of problems.

I cant see pac taking many fights at more than a catchweight under 147.

whatever happens in this fight top marks to pacman for fighting the best regardless of a 1lb or 2 .... a true warrior in an era lacking in true throwback fighters.

all this said i still believe that cotto will be too much for pac , i think floyd is more suited to pacs style i believe pack can handle his power. cotto will have too much power for pac although i have to admit i was one of those that thought Ricky would have too much for manny ....oooops got that slightly wrong !!!!!

great fight for us fans regardless ....as manny says ' leds ged id on '

MAX was right. Cotto's vulnerability will strike him deals with the best. Very lucrative fight. MSG or MGM? I'll go with Miguel by stoppage. He's just too big and strong with RESILIENCY. PAC can hit and he's FAST, but Team Cotto will be up for this mentally and physically.

you kind of dodged the question there.

You said that Pacquiao had to drain 9 pounds more than Marquez when they fought, and you also said that draining more is a disadvantage cause the fighter is too focused on losing weight during camp rather than working on strategy.

So are you saying that Pacquiao had a disadvantage against Marquez or not?

I agree with this semi-literate post.

Pacquiao didnt have to drain 9 more lbs than JMM. I said Pac outweighed 9 lbs more than JMM in their 2nd fight. To a certain degree it did put him at a disadvantage. But Pac didnt have to starve himself nor drain himself to death in the 2nd fight unlike Cotto throughout his stay at 140.

Didn't Pac just last week say that he's only interested in Mayweather?

Regardless of who Pacquiao would have fought at 147 that night, he would have looked good. Fighting a shot to hell, drained DLH only made Pac look better. His speed was still there, footwork, movement, everything, so for you to say Pacquiao looked good because he fought a corpse is not totally accurate.

What I don't understand is how people can say Pacquiao will KO Cotto and box circles around him yet want Cotto to fight at a catchweight where chances are, he'll drain himself. If confidence is so high, make the weigh-in at 147 - simple. You don't think Roach knows about all this weight bull****? I'm ok with 145 because Cotto weighed 146 when he fought Clottey but anything below this is simply outrageous.
