After the first Taylor fight, I also had high hopes for Kelly. Not so much anymore....

If Mora manages to outpoint Pavlik in a sleeper... (Which his style certainly can)
It's all over for the Kelly express.

    Bad matchmaking, IMO
But here is to Pavlik getting Mora out of there with a devastating K.O.

Ya granted, the middleweight division is just awful, but fighting a 154 fighter is still pretty poor.

Actually i cant find anyone for him to fight... thats a bit depressing, i think Pavlik would be a good champion.

Like Duddy and Lyell? Mora had TWO, count them TWO fights at 154 and both were title fights. He won one. Now tell me what happened when Duddy fought a natural 154 pounder who had to eat extra to put on a pound to make 155 for the fight? Go ahead. I'll wait on your answer.

Saurland and Arum had a talk about getting AA more exposure in the states so there would be more money available for a Pavlik/Abraham show down. The broadcast of AA on the under card was probably a result of that. It seems like everyone that wants a shot at Kelly's belts AND a career payday to pay for their retirement to boot.

Sorry, your right. I only knew about Mora from the fights with Forrest, didn't know he normally campaigned at 160.

Well not necessarily yet. I believe that there was some talk about Abraham's fight in Germany being shown as the pre-cursor to Pavlik/Bora. Sort of like Abraham on tape delay as the co-main event.

You really ought to make sure you know what your are talking about BEFORE you start typing. Mora and Pavlik have exactly the same number of fights at 154, two each. Does that make KP a light-middle?

Mora fought in the same division as Pavlik and Taylor during the 2000 Olympic trials, and both were eliminated by the same guy; Jermain Taylor.

Mora made his pro debut at 160. He won the contender at 160. He fought all but two of his pro fights at 160. I can think of many reasons to critisize Pavlik/Mora, but calling Mora a light-middle is plain stupid.

Kelly Pavlik is really starting to **** me off with these awful defenses.. He has not made one single respectable defense of his title since he got it. THAT'S A FACT.
