spot on.if both men were near 154 a week before fight night it would be at 154.people think because someone in the business posts something on a forum people should be so honoured that every word they type should be sacrosanct.

 

I know Mundine won the WBA International MW title when he fought Taylor for the vacant version of it, but if he still holds it, why is he again fighting Medley for the vacant version of it?

Sorry flamengo, I'm afraid I find it very hard to believe that Mundine vacated the IBO MW title to move down to 154, only to have a falling out with the IBO to end up fighting Medley for a lesser MW belt in the WBA International one.

I think the demands over the officials was a tactic used by Mundine to get out of having to make 154, because he couldn't make it. Whether this was a premeditated move or not, I have no idea.

I also think it's disgusting that he has messed Medley around like this and is essentially forcing him to fight at MW because it will be a career high payday for him.

 

Flamengo will come on and say - " Ray Kelly said Mundine could make 154, clear".

But seriously, Boxrec shows the fight is now for the vacant WBA International MW belt.

I know Boxrec isn't the most reliable of sources, but is this a mistake on their part because Mundine currently still holds this belt, or is it in fact in a vacant state right now?

Either way, it's now even more blatant that he vacated the IBO MW belt to avoid fighting Geale again.

Agreed the stuffing around of Medley is a disgrace. Team Mundine have the same regards for their opponents as Sugar Ray Robinson had. None.

Making 154 easily, and fighting at 154 with no real problems are two different things. Whatever way you look at it, it's some weaseling out by team Mundine and a bit of an insult to Medley.

Though to be honest, the coin Medley will receive for this fight is and has always been the driving factor.

Since the IBO title is no longer on the line, I wonder if the financial side of things has changed for Medley also?? Biggest fight of his life goes sour due to broken deals. Medley's support base has increased 3000%.
