Today, Errol Spence said that Crawford should accept a smaller share of the money because he isn't as popular. This preposterous statement makes it clear that Errol is willing to fight anyone apart from Terence.

It's a shame because both of these guys are highly thought of by die-hard boxing fans. Neither man is as popular as Mayweather or Canelo, but both are very popular in boxing circles.

The fight will never happen, probably because Errol's manager thinks Terence would beat him. This happens too often in boxing, for my taste.

Nonsense. Spence is not scared of Crawford but Boxing is a business & numbers don't lie.

Spence last 3 PPV# did over 300k EACH. As for Crawford PPV numbers, he did 150k buys on his last one and the other one before that he did 60k buys.

Spence has filled out the Cowboy arena TWICE, while Crawford has never filled the CHI Health Center in Omaha & he's fought there 5 times.

Now factor that in with Spence being unified at 147 while Crawford is not & 60/40 is reasonable.

Crawford is not the A side here.

ok, may be this belongs in the unpopular opinions thread, but I've just never been all that intrigued by TC. I know he's supposed to be the top welter and all, but the guy has zero personality, he always looks like he's ready to fall asleep, and his biggest fights have come against guys like Jeff Horn and Victor Postol.
I really just dont get that excited to see him. may be that means I DKSAB, who knows, but this Spence Crawford fight is so far down on my list of things I want to do, I could really care less if they fight or not.
Spence isn't much more interesting to me tbh, but at least he fought Porter, that was an exciting fight, plus he survived a car crash, so that was cool, that alone puts him above Salvador Sanchez

Spence is ducking him and right now that essentially freezes him out unless he can tempt Pacquiao into a fight.

    Hopefully Spence sees sense.

they arent ducking each other, its just that both are delusional. both are unknown to the general public and obscure among casuals, so for the event to happen both need to make concessions and take less money than what they pretend.

To me, Spence vs Crawford is the 2nd biggest fight that can be made in boxing at the moment, I really hope it happens.

Yeah but Spence is insisting on the lions share. Crawford is happy with an even split.

Spence is gonna pull a Mikey Garcia.

Mikey was terrified of Loma so he sacrificed himself to Spence. Embarrassed himself as a pudgy mexican punching bag that didn't win a single round and got pounded out. His cuck logic was that by fighting a bigger man and being destroyed he would gain some street cred. Could not mentally handle the possible defeat to a smaller man in Lomachenko.

I feel the same is tragically going to happen here....

Spence doesn't fear Crawford , he fears the thought of a defeat to Crawford DEEPLY. Crawford is naturally smaller having started at 135. Crawford is also going to be the betting favorite and Spence knows it's uphill. Instead he's going into a Clenelo fight at 160lbs and going to be pounded out RAW. He'll be paid nicely but we all know how this ends (brutally).

That's was the Boxing side of things (getting the belt)....now it's time for the business side. 60/40 get the fight done.
