The bottom line is that Haye "needs" this fight, the Klitchsko's don't, they have established themselves as the best in the world at what they do, and there is really no questioning that. On the flip Haye has went out of his way to instigate and front these cats out (in airports and other bush league type ambush attacks), they owe him nothing. Not to mention he actually got the fight he "talked" about and punked out, if it's me dude is getting no more than 40%, if he doesn't like it walk, go "make his name" fighting who ever he can find, but I'm not putting dude on and splitting the bread, when I'm the man, period.

Wladamir releasing videos calling out Haye would suggest that it's the other way round.

Also, if Wlad really wants the fight, like he said, and wants to beat Haye up, he should offer 50-50. He will stay get a career high pay day and a **** load of money, the 10% isn't gonna break the bank, or they could go 60-40 winner.

because it wasnt a 'Few weeks" it was 8-10 weeks

Booth called: "we need 2 weeks"
    Wlad: "ok"
Booth later that same day" we need 5 weeks"
    wlad: "OK"
The next afternoon Booth: "Haye has to see a specialist. We need at least 8 weeks maybe 10"

What was Wlad to do? wait 10 weeks? thats crazy

I bash Haye because he is asking for it with his childish and unprofessional behavior. He talks about fighting for glory and so far boxed a bunch of old, over-the-hill bums at HW.

How can one not bash him? Haye and his conduct over the last two years were just asking for it.

Now he can still "fix" things if he gets his a** in the ring with Wlad or Vitali this year. He doesn't even have to beat them. Just actually showing up in the ring and giving his best (even if he loses) would get Haye a lot of respect among critics like myself. Beating Wlad/Vitali would just be the icing on the cake.

It has already been mentioned that people had booked flights and hotels which weren't going to be refunded though hasn't it. Most people turned the occasion into a small holiday.

I know like 10 guys from the Manchester area who went to Wlad-Chag cos they'd already bought their hotels/tickets/flights etc.. may aswell.. and it was a typical Wlad fight - a snoozer.

The problem with this is that Haye has totally earned the scorn he has been given on this board.

You act like he hasn't, and that the criticism is somehow unfair. But the criticism is fully justified. The skepticism is fully justified. People aren't being unfair - Haye is getting exactly what he has earned.

You clearly have faith that Haye will come good in the end. Wonderful.

The ball is in Haye's court to prove that he is better than that. It's easy enough to do. Then you can have the warm glow of faith rewarded.

But complaining that Haye is being treated unfairly is just wrong.

I'd like to add that while I think 60/40 is a fair split, I believe Haye a good fighter and it would be an entertaining match up. In no way do I mean to directly disrespect Haye, but he's not Vitali or Wlad, these guys have been in the limelight for a long time and while some view their dominance as boring (understandable), I see it as brilliant and enjoy seeing them carve up their opposition. If Haye wins the fight he'll have his chances to "make his bread", but there is no reason to reward a guy for doing next to nothing in terms of in ring (in this division). His reward is the opportunity to win and capitalize on his title reign. To be honest he didn't deserve the fight against Valuev, so he's been gifted what he currently has, I see no reason for either brother to continue this trend. Go Earn It, if you are what you say you are.

How is it justified ? he was due to fight both brothers but the tv company that was due to pay him WENT UNDER
So the contract was off klits went off to do other things haye went off to fight valuev and ruiz and is now looking to fight wlad in a much stronger position financially, what's the ****ing problem ? You are saying Haye should fight for peanuts are you ?

He's done a damn sight better than most other top ten heavyweights in terms of who he's fought and how he has fought.
At least vs barret and ruiz it was entertaining if nothing else.

And that's what it's all about, bottom line is nobody enjoys a boring fight especially a heavyweight fight and i'd rather watch Haye beat up a fat out of shape low skilled boxer than wlad fight defensively safety first against one.

I find it hard to believe that less than 0,1% of the audience changed their plans when the featured highly anticipated main event was canceled.

Even against complete no name the returning percentage seems too small.

i don't think it will happen so fast...after this development.

haye wants to enjoy the belt and beat some more cats... this agreement is to stop both from talking **** about eachother.

haye had to talk with the man...otherwise...after being called out Haye wouldn't be able to talk **** anymore.

Haye is going to by some time..enjoy the belt before he gives it away.

Would you also pay 14.95 quid to see Haye work the heavybag? Because that's what he is selling to you. He is boxing old, over-the-hill zero risk opponents at HW, then sells it on PPV. Haye's business model is working for him because there are enough naive British boxing fans FINANCING it. They feel they're supporting a national hero and therefore they are happily paying good money to see him beat up over-the-hill bums.

If the British fans woke up and started boycotting his fights he actually may be forced to take on more dangerous opposition.

Don't know why David Haye hasn't been fighting on HBO...The leverage he could've gained from dominating fools in front of an american audience would've been huge.
