lets atleast give floyd till the end of the year, then judge his comeback. too much unfounded negativity. hell the guy fought de la hoya and rickiy hatton back to back. 2 years before pac did!!!

He also got a SD against ODLH, and did 1/10th as good a job of being hatton as Pac did(at 140 even)

Why do Mayweather fans act so surprised about the hate Mayweather receives? He goes out of his way to be hateful. His fights aren't generally exciting. Why the surprise and outrage? This is entirely predictable. It's like playing catch with a water balloon and then getting angry when it bursts.

Don't see why people think his fights aren't exciting.

Its pretty much as close to text book as you will see.

Two guys fighting in the street, swinging until one gets knocked out is exciting but not boxing which is what I thought we were discussing here.

Pathetic. You watch the Oscar fight and try and make a case for anybody scoring it for Oscar. And then watch the Hatton fight and tell me he didn't dominate a primer version of Hatton with better punch resistance.

    No it isn't.
If oscar jabbed for 1 more round he would have won.
Beating hatton at 147 is not impressive, collazo almost did it.

pacquaio is a better puncher than mayweather, so that little bit at the bottom doesnt go down well imo

both dominated hatton, mayweather has his own style, he isnt a ferocious boxer who beats the living **** out of you. he does enough to win the round without getting hit at all

i been following hatton his whole career, i cant remember fully but did the hatton vs mayweather fight go till the 10th? if so i remember scoring hatton winning only 1 round. that is a fantastic performance by mayweather. pacquaio did an equally impressive job but he did it with more style, that is all.

everyone loves an attacking machine and that is what pacqauio is. you say mayweather beat a prime hatton, how can that be when hatton is at his best at 140? it just is not possible. i would say mayweather beat a more confident hatton, which is important as the mental aspect of a boxer his very important but pacman beat a hatton at his best weight. again both kinda cancel themselves out

Pac beat a lesser version of Hatton.

Everyone knew Pac was going to beat the crap out of Hatton. They just didn't know he would nearly kill him so fast.

Oscar/Floyd was at 154 and was a clear win for Floyd. Easily a UD if the crowd/judges weren't biased. Not a great performance, but Floyd adjusted to his competition as he always does and Oscar tried to out box him from far and lost. Pacquiao demolished Oscar at 147 10 years after his last fight at that weight and almost 2 years after the Floyd fight.

Mayweather smoked a confident, undefeated Hatton. Mayweather's performance that night was a thing of beauty. As was Pacquiao's 2nd round KO, but again, a year and a half after the Floyd fight and the first L on his record. Hatton hasn't looked good since Floyd.

Both fights are a wash if you want to compare Floyd and Pac performances and that is being generous to *******s. :deal

You can also look at the Lazcano fight due to the fact that Hatton almost got taken out in this fight but was saved by the referee. Malignaggi allowed Hatton to look good because of his complete lack of power. With no power Hatton could stay on Malignaggi the whole fight with no hesitation. In the end Malignaggi was tailor made for Hatton, so I don't think that win means too much. How do you think Hatton looked against Mayweather?

I am saying that Floyd's WW resume is not impressive.
    His talent is. Obviously.
