GH gut comes from the pursuit of size. Meaning an excess of calories which requires a lot of eating and a lot of "supplementation", which can distend things over time. The main reasons for "GH gut" is the use of HGH and insulin. HGH used at heavy doses and/or prolonged periods can increase the size of internal organs...which can lead to some distension. Insulin use can cause distension of the intestines, which have a lot of igf receptors in them. Boxers simply don't pursue the size game, so wouldn't exhibit symptoms. They likely don't run high dose hgh, and would have zero reason to use insulin, and have a target weight to stay at.
Not myth. Ask any endocrinologist or even GP. HGH increases the size of everything over time if high doses are used and over long periods. Insulin is the main force, yet HGH has effect on IGF-1, and also does indeed cause increase in organ size if the dose and duration is large enough. The heart is the main organ usually affected (anyone who trains strenuosly for years may have some enlargement just based on capacity), but all internal organs can be affected (except the brain). BB'ers use this stuff year round and at high doses. By no means a myth.
It's about dose and duration. An anti aging clinic patient might be on 1-2 IU a day. Boxers or athletes looking for a performance boost could be in the 2-4 IU range. Bodybuilders on the pro scene are using as much as 20IU/day. That dose at a long duration does indeed affect the internal organs. Again, insulin is the main culprit, but Gh definitely plays a role in the gh gut.
insulin i agree. Bodybuilders use gh for years. Ive used it an never had a gut. Insulin really makes you blow up massive all over. You may be right my man as ive never ****ed with insulin, **** is terrible. Ive never heard a clear answer from anybody. ****ed up thing to say is I think the autopsys on some of these guys will be real interesting
Insulin is definitely a big factor. The number of IGF receptors in the intestines is large. They distend for sure. Don't forget though, that HGH and IGF and insulin are all interwoven at some level. GH gut usually is seen in guys who bang major doses of HGH for long periods.....or use insulin and hgh in combo. It is true though that HGH can increase organ size. Your experience will not be the same as everyone else. Physiology may be the same, but everyone is an individual with different tolerances
Visceral fat is a cause too. These guys are down to 3-4% bodyfat, yet it is sub-q fat. The fat between the organs remains.
Ive stopped everything. Its harder to train now but o well. Probably should stop taking about it before we both get thrown off here lol
