Please cry me a river all this whiny babies. I thought Kovalev was the 2nd coming of Christ from what all you asses were saying. Wasn't he supposed to take Ward's soul! Now you are talking of punches at belt line like as if his nut sack was located there. Your man is a quitter and he got beat plain and simple by a smaller man

This isn't hard to understand. If Ward finished the fight with 3 punches, all "borderline" low and we have footage of only a single one of those punches being clearly below the belt then that stoppage is unjust. There is no way of knowing whether or not the stoppage was the cause of that particular low blow, or the other two shots that may or may not have been.

Ward ruined it by the low blows he had a chance to legitimately win. What an idiot he will never get the respect he wants from the fans for that win.

Guessing everyone missed the headshot he took then?

Ward couldn't generate a heavier punch, and he still didn't knock the guy down.

One punch to the groin region would be enough for me.

Its kind of hard to have punch resistance Zak when its your ****ING BALLS that's being pummeled, I'm pretty sure you're glass balled as well, because I'll gladly admit I am.

I would have gone down from the first nut shot. How Kovalev kept going after all the nut cracking shots is amazing

So if a fighter gets hurt badly and they get hit by a punch that's borderline they should just milk and try and look for the DQ right. Also you have to factor in if it's accidental or not. Anyone that's calling for a DQ is either the biggest Kovalev nutriders, have a certain agenda, or should not be commenting on boxing period.

Btw you asked me how could someone support someone like Ward. Hmm I'd rather support someone who might have had some controversial fouls in this fight, but no less than Kovalev who was headlocking, and rabbit punching himself, and also compared a black fighter to a chimp. Now let me ask you. How can you support someone who compares a black fighter to a chimp?

The punches that caused Sergey to react were nowhere near the balls. They were all squarely on the belt-line, and one of them that Sergey reacted to Ward did not load up on. There may have been one towards the end that was lower, but the punch resistance that revealed itself weren't the body shots so much, but rather were the puncehs to the face. Kovalev was visably marked up worse than we've ever seen him. His right eye was swelling up after just a few rounds. The way Kov reacted to that right hand to the face was also telling. A lot of it may have had more to do with Ward's power than Kovalev's punch resistance. But seeing Kovalev in that kind of trouble was eye opening to say the least.

some people just hate. people that are obliviously fans of kovalev do it because they associate their own hatred with how he fights...That is what makes some fans very passionate lol

Ward was the better figher. He was never in trouble in this one.
