it did go up a little bit but people would now favor maidana against kotelnik had there been a rematch...close rounds might go to maidana for his reputation of being a stronger puncher

i think he is just like ricardo torres, he can be beaten with the right game plan

I've been saying for monts that Khan could never KO Kotelnik.. And only now people are starting to realise it? I'm wondering how many of you have actually seen Amir Khan fighting and struggling to hurt super-featherweights and fighters with broken legs wafter landing 50 punches in a row.

Khan has never knocked anyone out.

His stock went up at least a little bit because alot of fans who weren't immediately familiar with him didn't take Kotelnik that seriously- which is why a good number of people were picking Khan to take him out early/easily.

If nothing else, Maidana's win over Ortiz shows that Kotelnik's a game fighter who's a tough out, and whoever does it deserves proper credit for it. It shouldn't lead people to think he's unbeatable or anything, but it should cement Kotelnik's standing as one of the "best of the rest" at 140 behind Pac.

I think Kotelnik will struggle with the elite of a division outside of Germany, but he should have enough for Khan. After beating Khan, perhaps he could give Khan a rematch to cash out.
