I think it would be a great day for the sport. Manny will undoubtedly become not only the most recognized fighter in the world but one of the most popular athletes on the planet in general. His celebrity status would reach new heights which would only strengthen boxing and perhaps propel the sport into a more fertile future.

Imagine telling your kids later "Pac was great but I always rooted against him." The next question probably would by "why?" and you simply can not answer that because of so many *******s - otherwise you yourself will look like a hater. The underdog excuse would not work as well because in one of these fights, Pac is not the favorite. So the best thing probably is to change handles. It would be a great feat if that happened, but I doubt that it happens. All Dapidran has to do is beat Floyd, and he gets my full respect. Right now he only has half my respect, but I like the guy, and love to see him fight.

 

When that happens, the ESB general forum is going to be basically the same, only with less trolling and flamebaiting by the posters who don't really like MP as a boxer, or posters with nothing better to do but annoy other posters.

The loud "nuthuggers" won't double/triple in numbers.

that situation is not very farfetched. Cotto is a clear underdog and Pac is about even odds with Mayweather.

 

Even at this moment that position is already taken, down to the sargeant-at-arms. The only position vacant is the MUSE. I do not think you would consider that.
