But the point I was making has nothing to do with Joshua, Haye or Fury.

The point I was making is that the advent of Eastern Europeans in heavyweight boxing has as much to do with elite black American heavyweight athletes choosing other sports as it does the end of the Cold War.

You are asserting that these European tin cans (which the vast majority are) have risen to their recent prominence at the expense of black american fighters who have dominated the sport for 150 years at heavyweight.

This is utter baloney. These Eastern European robots (for the most part) couldn't carry the great black American's heavyweights' jock straps.

They are simply filling a void.

It had to happen eventually. They sort of sucked for a hundred years at the sport they pioneered in the 18th and 19th centuries. Although, it was probably soccer and cricket keeping their best athletes out of the ring for most of the twentieth century.
