    Ward is moving well as round 1 begins. To his credit, Green is looking to establish his jab. Ward is moving well and dips out of the way of a right. Ward backing up and moving aroun. Ward going back, Green coming forward. A little lull in the pace and we have our first clinch. Ward back in the clinch and lands a sweet body jab on the break. Ward moving, Green comging but nothing lands. Ward has those hands up high. Ward with another boy jab. Ward with a jab and clinch. Ward is getting clinchy now. Ward with a jab and then another clinch followed by a hook to the body. Ward coming forward and Green shoves him away. Green goes low inside and Ward pops him upstairs. Head clash on a clinch. Nice counter hook as Green comes in. 10 seconds left and Ward lands a snoping right hand. Bell rings as both guys do a little bit of nothing. Odd round to score but Ward controlled the ring and landed the sharper punches. Won't cry if someone gave it to Green.

    Ward circles, and floats his hands high. Green has the Philly shell working, stalking and staring. A missed jab results in a tangle of arms. Break. Repeat. Ward lands a jab to the body, first clean punch of the fight. Ward using the full ring. Green catches him circling left as he turns the corner and flurries at him but Ward blocks. They clinch again. Green again throws in combination but Ward ducks him. Ward jabs high and grazes the top of Green's head. They clinch yet again. It's going to be impossible for these two to infight effectively at this rate. Ward hooks hard enough to throw himself off balance, lands leaned up against Green, pushes off, and throws another hook on the separation.

    Close, ugly and uneventful all at once.
