I hope you are doing this to raise some hell. OTherwise you qualifie for worst post of the year.....:deal
Vitali is a good fighter, "The Greatest"........WTF!!! That word and Vitali's name shouldn't be uttered in the same sentence when talking about boxing. Yes, his record is a very impressive one, but, he's never fought any truly world class heavyweights and not in their prime at least. David Haye is the person who everyone is talking about, he's got the HW division in the spotlight again and it's down to his personality......as apparently he's the only person in the division with one!! Both Klitschko's are very down to earth quiet guys, nothing charismatic or exciting about them, no trash-talking or hyping up, but although thats respectable, the HW division need this type of behaviour.....they need someone young and exciting......Haye is the future definitely, love or hate the guy! Klitschko is a good fighter in a bad bunch, it would have been interesting to see him in the same era as Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe, McCall - when they were in their prime, would he have beaten these guys??
I like to rate people by what they are and not over speculate. I also dont like to go all time status til they are retired at least a year or 2 to let it wear off. I'm going to say Vitali is a tough guy to rate. First I'll state what he is, he was a belt holder the WBO during the Lewis era. Then he lost to Lewis. Then when Lewis retired he was passed the torch. He was a very talented skilled fighter with good tools and fun to watch. Then injury hampered his career and he passed the torch to Wlad. After 4 years hes back has a belt and is in an alliance with his brother to dominate the division together. This is where it gets fuzzy. Klitschko has not had a career defining win but certainly some question marks and what ifs. People rank him all time by his KO percentage which is quite a feat and his ability as a boxer. He has dominated all of his fights never been down. The Ifs had he fought on he would have beat Byrd. Had the cut never happened he would have won (I am most shakey on that 6 rounds to go Lewis was getting his act together never know. Plus the cut was from a punch so I dont discredit Lewis) and he got too injured to face Rahman (and this was a respectable Rahman one worth beating not the shell Wlad faced) Those were Vitali's best chances to score a career defining victory. Now who did he beat? Johnson Areolla Gomez Peter Johnson Sanders Donald Bean Norris Hide Hoffman Does resume out weigh ability or does the fact that he has all this ability mean he gets a pass on the resume. Going by his resume what was his best win. I'd have to say Sanders
Vitali is the new king. ali was the king of his time but that time has long paased. the sport has evolved and a bigger stronger smarter superior fighting machine has proved himself as the new greatest. nobody will exceed ali as an entertainer with a flashy style or in charisma dept, but Vitali is the superior gladiator. he's bigger stronger and smarter than ali who couldn't avoid taking beatings.
Vital is just so humungous how could any one beat him?Ali was king at one time but we have moved on !!Muhammad couldnt lay on rope a dope because the size difference!!!Vital doent panick also other question answered is vital has STAMINA so I guess we have to givehim credit for greatest champ ever!!!!!:rofl
Vitali is a good fighter at most. How anyone can compare to the likes of Ali, Holmes etc is just wrong. Ali wouldn't need to rope-a-dope against Klitschko, he'd just dance his way around with his jab and win on a comfortable tko. Im not an expert on boxing technique, but Klitschko's punches are just robotic and telegraphed. Any kind of slick HW would take him to school. People bang on about his loss to Lewis, saying he would have won had it not been stopped but I don't agree with that at all. Lewis was finding his rhythm later on the fight, and the blood from that cut would have severely impaired Vitali's vision. Had the fight gone on any longer, we'd have seen Klit get KO'd. And why are these threads popping up now? Was there somebody out there who was impressed with his performance against Johnson? Prior to the fight, he put on a text book performance against Arreola and I'd have picked him to nail Haye easy. After that appalling demonstration which I loosely refer to as a "fight," against Johnson, I reckon Haye will kick his robotic ass into a mid round tko. Throw the heavyweight division in the bin if Haye loses to Vitali.
Vitali is so great, so superior, to survive the distance against him is a moral victory. Wladimir too, they all just try to survive. i see no difference in the skillset of Fraizer, Norton, Young, Shavers, Terrell, Liston, Patterson, Folley, Cleveland Williams, Chuvalo, Evangelista, Mildenberger, Richard Dunn, as compared to the modern top 10ers. No difference. Brewster = Frazier basically.
Corrie Sanders didn't try to survive. He bounced WALD up and down like a yo-yo and gave VITLAY a figfht as well. He actually had the elder brother running away in the first. Not bad for a pro golfer. :deal
Sanders has an iron chin - oops, I mean swing. Popeye cherry-picked bigger, stronger opponents. There's really only one opponent of note on his resume.
