The only person who was competitive against Vitali was Lewis, he has dominated all the other challengers! Give the man the respect that he deserves....

Watch the Lewis-Klitschko fight, a past prime, out of shape Lennox shows you how to cut him to pieces and cause a doctors stoppage within 6 rounds!!! I respect Vitali and a "Prime" Vitali was IMO a top 10 ATG, but he's not the greatest.

Who considers Lewis the best of all time? I've certainly never read that on here! In fact most consider Lennox overrated!! As for the Lewis-Klitschko fight how were those cuts on Vitali's face that required over 100 stitches caused? Head-butts? Flying knees? No mate those horrific injuries were caused by punches thrown by Lewis!!! I agree, Vitali was leading, but to say he obviously would have won is madness! It's like saying if Marvin Hagler hadn't knocked Tommy Hearns out, Hearns would have won!!! Or, to put it better, if my Gran had had balls, she'd have been my Granddad!! The fight was only half way through and no-one can deny that although both looked knackered Lewis had won the 6th and probably the 5th so he was in the ascendency!! The fact is, it was a brutal fight, Vitali showed a lot and gained a lot of respect, but he lost and it was a fair stoppage!!

I do give Vitali plenty of respect mate. But what a lot of people on here don't realise is this. By slagging off other great fighters, their opponents, etc and by posting that Vitali would have so obviously dominated all other heavyweights, based on what we have seen that the rest of us must be stupid, well such talk is just bound to get people's backs up, because resume wise Vitali's is not that impressive. To "Rate" him we have to consider "Head to Head" and whilst I do consider "Prime" Vitali a top 10 ATG it is wrong of anyone to suggest that this guy would have dominated all the other "Greats"!!

He also stopped fighters who have never been KO'd or even tKO'D like Larry Donald and Ross Purrity. Not they were great by any means. But he was the 1st.
