what is most depressing about it is that Roy is fighting bigger challenges now than when he was prime. When he was so fast and dominant, fighting the best would have been exciting for him and the sport of boxing, and his legacy would have become huge.

Agreed. I just try to avoid reading about him and pretend its not the same person. He can't let go.

He fought good fighters in his prime, give it a rest. you cant become fighter of a decade fighting cab drivers. What bigger challenges has Roy fought since his decline that were better than the guys he beat throughout his career? name them? Who Danny Green????????? Glen Johnson????????? Tito Trinidad???????? Jeff Lacy??????????????????????????????? Omar Sheika?????????????????????????????????????????? really, name them???

Would current Jones last more than 5 against either Adamek/Haye?

    AGREED 100%

I was thinking that myself just the other day, and I came to the conclusion, Jones needs $$$, so he needs to fight fighters who can draw.

He cannot get away with fighting journey men and expect to sell anything.

I always rooted against RJJ. When he got KO the first time I was jumping for joy, but then I quickly felt sorry for him, seeing how he had become almost a bum.

With the exception of Toney, yes, I agree. I give RJ 2-3 rounds at the most after that it's all Adamek. Lucky for RJ Adamek isn't a huge puncher at HW. RJ was all about reflexes and they're long gone. I will be disgusted if Adamek does give him the fight.

It would be different if he still threw punches and tried to win fights on heart and punch output. Sad to watch him just stand in front of opponents and just stare at them thinking hes still 25yrs. old!

Totally agree. I tell myself that its not actually Roy Jones, its his half brother's cousin's former roomate's part-time poker player who is boxing to supplement his poker earnings. I try to flesh out the story as much as possible so I actually believe its not RJJ.

I hope you're wrong. But it certainly seems like RJJ's cash flow is low. Is he headed down the same road as Thomas Hearns?

Never seen Adamek - but Haye would pulverise him right through the canvass unless he suddenly becomes Mother Teresa.
