I think what turn's people off on anything "New"
is when Fanatics create polls/threads and automaticly put fighters who have just barely got their Pugilistic nose wet in talks with ATG's in fantasy matchup's, or already rank any NKOTB better than a legend/retired proven former world champion from another era.

That being said.. I personaly like Kelly & can't wait for his next fight.
(Just, let's hold off on the ATG stuff for now...lol)

 

I just told you the other day, your not learning too fast here! Rumsfeld started those damned threads, and as far as I know he could be a hater (not sure though). Any response by a good Pavlik fan went as follows: "Pavlik is only 25 and you're comparing him to the finished career of an ATG. Give him another 5 years or so and lets talk about this again".

Can't you guys see that those threads are not started by Pavlik fans? But by guys who hate Pavlik and just want to see everybody discredit him???

Different example: All those threads started the last couple days about PBF vs evry body including Hagler. Atleast that thread starter admitted his reasoning for starting it.

 

Pavlik is an example of what is RIGHT with the sport of Boxing. I am sure the people hating on Pavlik are praising Glass Jawed jokes like Zab Judah and Tito Trinidad etc.

 

I don't think anyone has said that he can beat anyone at 175 right now. I think that what some are saying is that he's obviously huge for a MW and that he can easily fill into a LHW later down the road. Heck, he's a SMW right now. He's just got the strict discipline to stay at MW. And it's not out of the question to think that he can have success at the higher weights. I'm sure some Pavlik fans go overboard but every fan base has a few of those.

 

Please sir, name some names. I'll straighten them out for you myself.

Well, Dawson has a serious flaw which can't be corrected. He's got a weak chin. How many elite fighters are there with this flaw? Heck, he lost to Glen Johnson and i think he goes to sleep against Tarver. And yeah, i think if you gave Pavlik time to fill into 175, he can beat Dawson, possibly by KO.
