It's strange to see how many fellers here dislike Kelly Pavlik...

JetSki admits he talks a little **** for fun, but he has seniority over us and you can't argue with a guy with that kind of "Pavlik Souvenir" collection! (did you see his pic of an entire room full of stuff?) lol.

Although I refused to take part in that thread, Decebel's stipulations were that the fight be at 168, and KP would have 6 months to properly build his body up to the weight. So even those that were picking KP didn't pick him to do **** at 175.:deal

:good Agreed - Taylor gets too much stick for being beaten by top class fighters!

I'm a Calzaghe fan and I think Calzaghe will beat him in a fight which while isn't one-sided is fairly comfortable.

That doesn't mean I dislike Pavlik, because I do like him!!

What is there not to like? He is exciting, he's in good fights and he has the power to end most fights at any point - i hope Lockett beats him (which he wont) but outside of that i'd like Pavlik to clean up at 160 !!

    :good

I think the problem is that there is no "800 pound gorilla" for Pavlik. There is really nobody at his weight that can compete other than Abraham. He suffers from a lack of competition. I think it's similar to people downplaying Calzaghe's success because he had never fought a prime guy until Lacy.

    Their careers are similar.

Miranda was like Lacy, huge puncher, future of the division. Abraham will be Pavlik's Kessler.

He won't be making any noise, of that I can assure you

The only noise will be the regularly occuring right hand on The Frauds chin

As for the crow, I wouldn't have it any other way. I already dished out plenty to Mr Tyson86, I'm sure I have plenty of reserves in the fridge for you :yep

Tyson86 wasn't a fan of nobody, he was just an obvious hater of anything Calzaghe.

Actually, it was more like anything non-American. His favourite words were 'hypejob' and 'euros' often in the same sentance

Still, I very much enjoyed waitering on Mr. Tyson with that freshly served steaming crow, with a side plate of humble pie :good

    Also, keep this in mind.

You know that guy that Kessler was afraid to get in the ring with in Miranda? Well, Pavlik chased him down and stood right in front of him but he showed respect for JT's power in their second fight. Yeah, that Taylor is sure a powerless puncher isn't he?

Seriously, how many times have you seen him fight? My guess is NONE. Or maybe a fight or two.

Abraham would be Pavlik's doormat ... the guy is too short, too stiff, lousy workrate, just not much good for a 'supposed' champion ....

It all started with the Taylor-Pavlik fight in September. It was not Kelly per se, but his rabid fan that annoyed the hell out of me. Combine that with Amsterdam and Zakmans irrational hatred for Taylor, I was hoping to see Kelly brutally ktfo. Unfortunately the opposite happened :-(

It sounds like a lot of your analysis is guess work, more often than not wrong too

Kessler is scared of Miranda according to who? Sounds like a cockup of promoters from where I'm sitting, I can see why you'd want to look into it differently. It is absolutely ludicrous to think a fighter of Kessler's calibre is scared of a crude guy like Miranda. For me that just sums up your underrating of Kessler

The other points are completely irrevelant, styles make fights. Taylor is much quicker than Miranda, and thus is harder for Pavlik to just walk down. As for Taylor, I've seen plenty. Both Hopkins fights, Wright, Spinks and Ouma as well as the Pavlik fights obviously. Basically all of his fights against anybody worth a **** :barf

But as you said, you'll find out in due course...
