This thread changed my life. I am going to move next door to NiKO and write a book about him and his clash with Holyfield - the FIGHT OF TWO CENTURIES! At least so far. Until that is the Great Man is inspired to lace them up again and share his gift with mankind.

Has anyone considered that Valuev might be better served moving down to Cruiserweight where some of his intangibles could really shine? I think he could unify the division.

 

...Are you saying he couldn't unify the heavyweight division? He's already taken out the WBF champ!

 

I think Valuev could be the first champ to unify the cruiserweight and heavyweight belts - at the same time.

 

It's just that with his speed and agility for his size, his talents might be better served by simply sweating off the extra six stone and mixing it up with the likes of Huck and Diablo, which would be MASSIVE money events in Europe (perhaps record-breaking), and easier/more reliable than trying to chase down all the heavy paper titlists that are ducking him (including Mr. David "The Giant-Robber" Haye and his rematch phobia).

I think it is an excellent idea. He has already been robbed more than once by the evil and corrupt promoters and co who run the heavyweight division.

Plus, as we have all learned in the Pacquiao Era, the more divisions you campaign in successfully the higher in the all-time p4p rankings you belong.

Valuev unifying cruiserweight (and dare I say - LHW??) would put him on a collision course with Pacman himself. Maybe they could meet at SMW to determine the true p4p GOAT. Give it until about 2012 though, they both still have some work to do.

Don't think it will work. They just start ducking the man in the other classes.
Man, Pac can stand on his toes and still duck the big man. And the all time King of boxing belongs in the Kings Class and that's heavyweight.
It just looks like HW has nothing anymore, but this is actually the real 'golden era'. All time Greats like Harrison, Haye, current prime Briggs, Ruiz, Toney and Holyfield and even 'second raters' like Wlad, Vitali and Adamek are all Hall of Famers. What am I saying it's the Platinum era with diamond layins. Why do you think the WBC now has diamond belts, WBA Super champions etc?
