Former WBA heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev will not waste any time even despite a recent surgery to fix his shoulder. “Fontanka.ru”, St. Petersburg-based online media, reports that Valuev will have a comeback of another sort in the nearest future. “The Beast from the East” will play one of major characters in “Abominable Snowman”, a new film which will be financially supported by local businessman Victor Yankovski. Valuev’s chief partner and antagonist will be actor Igor Zhizhikin.

“I have found this project rather exciting”, said Valuev. “I have already accepted it albeit preliminarily. A whole screen script is interesting. However, nothing is fully resolved yet”.

According to scenarist Elena Vagan, movie’s main hero will infiltrate a base where the military handles some secret experiments. Much action and “encounters with animals, particularly wolves” are pre-planned in the script though details aren’t disclosed. “We have nothing to worry about”, said Yankovski. “Nico loves animals. He kindly asked us to make all the scenes safe for them”. He continued, “We chose such a name for this movie to shatter some myths. You’ll know which after watching the movie!”

Filming starts in early 2011. This will be the second movie for Valuev after the “Stone Head” in 2008.
