It's funny that Wlad's style is so hated by the fans. Don't get me wrong, I find him boring a s hell lately too.

But when you look at it, Steward actually has him fighting alot like Mohamed Ali (a big, clumsy, white Ali that is)

jab, move, duck, hold on the inside, mix in the odd straight right hand or sneaky left hook... go for the KO late in the fight when opponent is less dangerous etc.

But Ali made it look good and had the personality to keep things exciting.

Wlad is obviously alot bigger and stronger, and hits alot harder,,, but somehow he's boring as ****.!

Exactly. While it often becomes apparent that he could likely bang out his opponents sooner than he often does... I won't criticize someone who has found an effective way to get the win... and then carries that plan out.

Good for Klitschko to do what he does.

How do you really know his competition isn't great? Could it be that WK is so great he is just making all these guys look like they are weak? it could actually be. Just because Chagaev and Brock and Thompson don't have the marquee name recognition or statuses of Frazier, Norton, Joe Walcott, or Cleveland Williams doesn't mean they are on a lower level.

the popularity and familiarity ot today's champ WK and contenders are much less than other eras. But it does not mean the formidability of the current era is any less. The best are the best, that's the bottom line.

    All good points...

But I give Wlad 5 more good years, unless someone comes out unexpectantly and ends his reign. So for those 5 years all we going to get is an even more effective jabber/clutcher and late rounds KO artist?

With every fight he is getting better and better, his training is improving, but you can tell from some of his previous fights that he is disappointed for not KOing some of his opponents, last one being Chagaev. He has a lot of interest in entertaining his fans, and as he grows more and more confident, I think his training might increase to a more aggressive style.

Vlad should use his skills, it's that simple.

he makes them all quit before they get knocked out.

has any HWT champ made so many of his challengers quit like this? it will be part of his legacy. a brutally dominant HWT fighting machine who systematically broke down the mental and physical wills of the majority of his competition until they openly submitted, openly just gave up.

Its all good points, but he needs to go in and finish the fight when he sees the opponent worn out. Chagaev, and many other fights could've ended with more sparks and much earlier if Wlad went for the finish a bit quicker.
