It's crazy stuff really. Even when Hopkins asks for 3 million pound to fight Calzaghe and then doubles his offer when the 3 million is accepted people think it's Calzaghe ducking him. Hopkins then jumps, not one, but two weightclasses to beat the mighty Antonio Tarver, people still think it's Calzaghe's fault!!

It is something Warren has forever mainntained (he usually gives up on his lies after a few years) and has never been denied by anyone associated with Hopkins nor Hopkins himself.

Warren only bends the truth, he cannot afford to flat-out lie. He states Hopkins increased his demands as though it is a fact. There is at least some truth in it.

I see some Calzaghe fans are upset with me. I just point out the facts. If you noticed, I never once said anything to diminish J.C's skill level. I pointed out that before he beat Lacy, he never beat another beltholder(Eubanks was for a vacant title). Someone pointed out he beat 5 former champions. Well I'm glad he can beat fighters who used to have a title. Someone also tried to compare him to RJJ. Well Roy was a unified LHW champ and fought pretty much every legitimate threat at LHW except Michalczewski(and he wanted Roy to come to Germany). If J.C beats Kessler then he deserves alot of credit. However, I'm not about to start praising the guy for finally facing some top tier guys.

Plus he fought a top 5 guy in Eubank and pre Eubank he was scheduled to face another top 5 guy in Collins. Now he is facing the second undefeated prospect to his throne.

This fight undisputably ranks him as the greatest 168 pounder in history.

Then he needs to go to 175 like X did. Icing on the cake. A fight versus Wright or Hopkins would be the final thing to really put him up there with the best P4P fighters.

What other top class fighter around the weight was going after him when he was basically unknown/not respected for years?

Please! Calzaghe was ducked by Ottke and several other frauds, he clearly beat guys who Ottke got gifts against and Americans were by no means going to fight him when he brought no money to the table for nearly 5 years, everything changed when he annihilated Lacy because boxing fans knew who he was and what he could do internationally.

Absolutley, look at what a total ***** it was to get Palle to agree to terms, they absolutely couldn't get Taylor and Dibella to agree and they used the excuse that they are staying at MW...

Well, now they're moving to SMW!

Now, when Joe wasn't even respected or well known, how the **** does he get top named yanks to fight him?

    Morons.

Too little too late.......the same could be said about Hopkins, some guys are just straight up duckable, hard to market and hard to beat who would want to fight him?

You just fell into the trap of saying exactly what us over here thought a yankie doodle dandie would say!

To say he bet cab drivers is a bit much, go and look at his record, he beat 90% of the division's best, in the divison he is in. He could have done more to fight fighters at lower or higher weight, but why should he when they are not scrambling to fight him at the time!

You my friend, are a joke
