yeah i'd like to see golota try it again. aside from the injury one thing that looked bad in golota and which always happens is that he doesn't react well to being hit solid especially early. as soon as he gets hit, he appears to get all tense and cover up without really using much movement or defensive skill. this usually results in him taking more solid shots until he kind of snaps out of it.

I was real sad reading the news this morning about this fight.

As I posted in another thread that after the Mollo fights I was thinking maybe he can still pull off a win, but as time went on and on, I was just starting to think maybe it is a better idea to just retire. Golota has aged and slowed quite a bit.

Watching the fight there is no doubt that something happened to his arm. All he could have used it for was to cover up. But regardless of this, he has just slowed too much to carry on further.

I am, have been, and will always be a Golota fan. Thanks for all the memories and enjoy the slopes big guy. To me a champion without a title, well said Thunder.

    Lolz. Too many excuses.

Is there a bone in the head? :huh You might be referring to his skull. The fact that he did not answer the bell and did not continue means he quit. Period.

Well, Tyson is already recognized as one of greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. Golota however is famous for quitting and nut-busting. :D

Oh, please. Be kind to the guy, his body cannot take it anymore. He's already 41, and should have been enjoying his retirement. :nono

Be kind to the Poles, man.

Golota may not be perfect, but he's a national boxing hero to millions of Polish boxing fans.

I know that you also dont wanna hear other boxing fans from other countries make fun of your national boxing hero, am I right?

It's Golota's final fight, most probably, and it was a disappointing performance.

Let's not tarnish the good memories they have of their hero.

Let's leave them alone for now.

Cannot continue the fight = Quitting. No mas, no mas. That's how it is in boxing, idiot. As a boxer, you should be man enough to face the consequences of your profession and offer no excuses.

I love Golota as fighter. It's his delusional fans that I dislike. Sounds familiar? Hahaha. These guys keep on egging Golota to fight regarless of his age and current physical condition. They don't know when their idol should stop fighting.

BTW, ot goes to show that Pacquiao doesn't have monopoly of nuthuggers.
