LOL, I have always realized that Froch's boxing skills were severely lacking. He is too slow to always fight with his left hand at his waist attempting to do a weak Roy Jones imitation. He ate Ward's jab alnight because he was unable to defend with his slow hands and poor footwork.
Still, Froch's poor boxing skills are comparible to Calzaghe's poor punching skills. Although Froch's punching is wild and looping, at least he does not slap and lace people acriss the face like Calslappy did throughout his career.

With the level of opposition Froch has faced relative to Calzaghe, Froch is 3x the champion that Calzaghe was. Froch faces almost everyone, while 80% of Calzaghe's career, he faced bums, cab drivers, and B level fighters like Eubanks.

Froch > Calslappy...and with each fight he put even more distance between the two.

List all the world champions (Magee hadnt won a title yet and had been dropped 4 times and beaten by an old Reid and beaten by Teypko) and great fighters Froch had fought on the night that Calzaghe had beaten Kessler.....

And how long had he been a pro?

It was a joke him even mentioning Calzaghes name. He was a nobody, worth nothing. Even when he beat Pascal he still hadnt faced a decent name at supermiddle, then he goes and gets dropped and almost beaten by a beaten up middleweight. Gets a gift decision against another fighter thats never been near a world title. Loses to someone Calzaghe beat when he was u defeated (not coming off a loss to Ward). Then he faces another middleweight, then an ancient drained light heavy journeyman, then loses again.....

About time somebody with some sense. Jc was a shity champion who hid behind franks shirt tales for far to long, he had two good defences which was a shame because he might have been the real deal even with the slaps but never pushed hard enough to find out

The same can be said for Groves, who had Groves fought before last Saturday, a washed up Glen Johnson and a MD over Degale. But Froch still fought the next best British Super Middleweight giving us boxing fans a great British tare up while it lasted, Calzaghe wanted no part of Froch when Froch was in Groves position.

Froch faced the young hungry lion prepared to pass the baton over to the next British Super Middleweight. Calzaghe wasn't prepared to pass the baton over to Froch.

Apparently Froch was offered the fight but said he wasn't ready. By the time he was ready Calzaghe had moved on to bigger fights.

    Calzaghe was 37 years old.

He said himself, he began cutting corners in training... you can't do that when your boxing. Therefore, he went to America.. fought two big/household names, kept his 0 and jacked it in with plenty of ££££ in his back pocket.

Who could blame him? At the time, Froch brought nothing to the table.

Joe needed the money so had to turn down froch.....ummmm, because he hadn't had the opportunity to earn money in 21 whole defences and ten years of his WBO title.... in ten years.....well. if you cant earn big money in 10 years and 21 defences, what have you been doing all your life?

Alternatviely, within 2-3 years Joe could have fought for more prestigious titles for more money, and in America sooner, thereby not needing to earn money in his last 2 fights. A few losses would have been the price to pay.

he made his own choices, noboby forced Joe to take a wbo paycut route for a decade.

Froch has never held two legitimate titles at the same time.

Where's the link?, surely that link might also be "magazine" material compared to Froch's countless call-outs. Fact is, Froch came out on a public interview and openly said he was turned down by Calzaghe who claimed "Froch is unknown" only to go on and sign another one(of many) comical fights in Manfredo Jr. who apparently wasn't a nobody at all. Froch has been after Calzaghe back when Calzaghe was dominating cabbies and before Lacy decided to make the trip that legitimized Calzaghe's unknown career.

First point - his name is Eubank, not Eubanks. He officialy changed his name and dropped the "s".

Second point - I would bet good money on the Eubank that Calzaghe fought taking Froch the distance and being extremely close on the cards. Froch isn't the kind of fighter that could dominate Eubank and beat him by a wide and comfortable margin, and he damn sure wouldn't have a hope in hell of stopping him.
