Not necessarily true, sometimes the greats are just that much better.

Look at Tom Brady, plenty of younger top rated guys who are far worse.

Manny got messed up against Horn, the only questions in a Thurman fight is does Thurman come to fight, if he does Manny might not see the end.

Power is the last thing to go. Hand/foot speed and reflexes; the first. Defensive fighters lose their key attributes first. Just that they are usually the ones of much greater overall quality and those with the best strategic plans and ability to change that strategy mid-round that allows their success late into a career, if they do.

Pacquiao, Hopkins, Mayweather, Wladimir... not normal for a wave of ATG's to all be fighting so good so late into their career. The times they are a changing.

The first thing to go is legs, always. Roy jones has also stated that once your legs are gone, you should retire. There was also a Joe Rogan podcast with some expert saying there was scientific studies proving that leg power(strength/speed) was correlated to youth. I have to look for that podcast though, so take that with some skepticism till i can find the podcast. My guess is because training legs causes the highest spiking in testosterone, and high test = more youth.
Duran was still beating decent fighters 40+, Ray Robinson was still fighting monthly and knocking fools out and giving guys runs for the money, never ko’d still even fighting at 44-45, there’s george foreman too, at 42 he’s having a hellacious battle with juicehead holyfield, and at 45 stops moorer. That’s the secret really, fighting the right style/fighting an opponent just enough below your level. It’s to be seen if thurman is the right style/level for current pacquiao, because he’s definitely aged.

Marquez was 38 and juiced to the gills, but don't let facts get in the way.

    Pacquiao is almost 41.

What? Poor current welterweight division? It has been the strongest division in boxing for probably the past 20 years.

Maybe if you keep doing your investigative research you will be the first person to actually prove it. You might be well on your way to something. It's very very very very possible, yet you have no doubt, something doesn't add up there.

With some of the posts and threads on this forum I wouldn't be at all surprised to actually see a debate or poll on who wins and how.
