Can boxing just please return to normality. People who love the sport talking fact.

Not devoting their lives to taking stupid cheap shots, against the guy they don’t like, because they’re so damn insecure about the merits of the other guy.

I went on to another forum today, and saw some guy on the stupid “Mayweather gets no credit for retiring Mosely, as Mora drew with him” rant.

I took a look through his article history, about stuff he’d written BEFORE Mayweather signed for the fight (like a month before) and he wrote.

“Floyd’s too chicken to face a legit guy like Mosely. Manny will beat Cotto, and then in beating Mosely will bump himself up to top 5 all time”.

    And

“Floyd needs to stop worrying about Malginaggi, and sign up for Mosely. He won’t as he knows he’ll lose. Mosely is as tough a bout for him as Pacquiao, and he’ll duck both”.

It’s such a stupid argument, that I don’t have the time to go over everything that’s stupid about it.

1: Styles make fights. Shane’s spent his career whupping brawlers, and struggling against guys with speed, and tactics, who bore you to death. Beating Margarito and Oscar isn’t really a qualification for handling anything Mayweather has to offer.

If you have a boxing brain, you’d know Shane’s chances of beating Floyd were that of a punchers. Slim. Don’t super hype a guy, on the basis that you want to make it sound like Floyd’s ducking him for some reason, and then be surprised when Mayweather just goes in and schools the guy.

2: Shane’s possibly the worst junior middleweight of all time. He’s never been a big deal there. Always struggled through the division, no matter how low the competition.

3: Coming back from a real schooling is borderline impossible. Knock outs, you can blame on your chin. A lucky shot. And try again. Going into the ring with the very best, and being nowhere near good enough, takes some getting over. 99% never do.

This is not really my beef, I should add. My beef is trying to score troll points for the fact that a fighter who’s taken a real beating, has moved up to 154, and fought out a tough draw (which he probably won).

Erik Morales lost his fight directly before beating Manny. He lost his direct fight directly before losing him. After he lost, he lost his next 4 in a row, including a bout to David Diaz. In total, he lost 6 of 7 fights, around that time. The only win being against Pacquiao. Losing to Barrera, Rahman, Pacquiao and David Diaz. Before and after Manny’s wins

So this surely qualifies him under the ******* rule of being a bum? On the basis that he lost to David Diaz after Manny beat him. And Rahman before?

Barrera got completely destroyed by Marquez 4 months before Manny fought him in the rematch. As in a schooling bigger than Mayweather gave Mosely. So we can put that bout in the “bum category” as well.

What’s Oscar done other than looking awful against Steve Forbes and Pacquiao, and Freddie Roach and Oscar telling the world that he’s shot? Put that one in the bum category

What’s Hatton done other than being schooled by Mayweather before Pacquiao, and doing absolutely nothing afterwards? So that’s a bum.

Cotto was coming off a loss to a guy Mosely schooled, and a split decision win over Clottey. And all he’s done since is leave 147 as he can’t compete, and beating a chump like Yuri Foreman. So that’s a bum.

What’s Margarito done other than being schooled by Mosely in the last year? Why is Manny fighting him of being schooled is being a bum?

You need to step into reality.

Taking a PFP number 3 to school, and giving him the biggest beating of his life, is what it is. A fighter who’s pushed every fight before and since all the way since 2002. Even when he’s not at his best weight.

What did James Toney ever do after Jones had his career win against the guy? Nothing but lose for years. Even with Alex Ariza juicing him up

What does any guy ever do when they just take a 10 round schooling?

Name any fighters in the history of the sport who’ve come back against a real 12 round beating?

I’m just saying, if the argument is that boxers who do nothing after being schooled, were in fact bums in the first place, then Manny’s faced nothing but overrated, hand picked, old bums

*******s were convinced Mosely would expose Mayweather. And he just schooled the guy like he did Marquez. Just as easy.

Go figure they change their mind and start talking him down 6 months after they spent an entire year telling us how great Shane was.

Mosely's come back from a beating is a heck of a lot stronger than Morales, Hatton, Oscar, let's be honest.

    Is that bum bum bum?

*******s need to accept, if that you spend a year saying how great a guy is, and how Floyd can’t beat the top welterweights, then come up with a brand new conspiracy theory as soon as he loses, then people will just stop taking you that seriously.

Or, don’t expect the majority of fans to start treating Manny any differently, and start looking at his own resume

Mosely was a heck of a lot stronger, before and after Morales, Barrera 2, Hatton, Oscar

people always calling me a *******, yet I started threads saying Floyd would fight Mosley before the fight was even signed. I also said he would beat Mosley comfortably on points. That Mosley couldn't handle an elusive target and that his inactivity would hurt him even more.

All that was before the fight.

Maybe *******s just tell it like it is.

We need to step into reality? Perhaps you should join us. Four every ounce of scepticism you scratch up for Pacquiao’s opponents, one can do the exact same for Floyd...
    • Hatton.....fighting at a 147 weight where he was knocked about and schooled by a Collazo
    • Corrales.....made to drop in weight
    • JMM.....forced to come up two weight divisions
    • Zab.....fighting after losing to a Baldomir
...etc. Whether the above notions are correct or not, doesn't matter. We all can pick holes in the resume of any fighter. I’m sorry that you felt the need to write all that, because all in honesty, it appears as though it was a big waste of time.
