It's weird how its become a foregone conclusion that Abraham would have won by KO

Why are people acting as if Abraham would have knocked Dirrell out had the fight gone on ? I'm tired of all these keyboard warriors calling Dirrell a p**** and saying he was acting to get out of being knocked out. Dirrell was up 8-2 and Abraham had done nothing impressive in the 11th that would me to believe he was going to knock out Dirrell. Abraham did not "bail out" Dirrell in fact Dirrell almost certainly would have won a wide unanimous desicion had the fight continued. What had Abraham shown the whole fight that leads people to believe he would have miraculously knocked out Dirrell. It's sad that people are using the cheap shot he took at Dirrell, as the only excuse for why he lost, that was a b*tch move in the first place !

Agreed again. Except I'd call it more 70-30 in favor of Dirrell at that point. ALthough AA had won some rounds and was coming on. Dirrell was still very elusive and I'm thinking with such a bog lead on the cards, it was bike time.

    50-50?

It was the 11th round dude and Abraham hadn't looked like hurting Dirrell, more like 95% Dirrell by UD

    Agreed

At the time of the foul, Dirrell as always was scared to get hit, while AA was going for the KO badly and was landing when he had Dirrell cornered.

If aa was so confident of getting to Dirrell and the KO, he wouldn't have done that desperate foul.

Dirrell had the fight comfortably in hand. Was there a chance that AA could get a KO? Sure. But Dirrell was boxing fine and the odds were heavily in favor of him lasting and winning the fight.

well aa ****ed himself b/c he took away his opportunity to score the come from behind ko and it kind of sucks for dirrell b/c he was winning wide but i'm sure he would have wanted to end the fight on his terms.

there are no foregone conclusions either way. all we know is dirrell was up big on the cards and aa handed him the win.

I think people are basing it on the finall two rounds where Arthur was starting to beat him to the punch and do damage. Hard to say. Dirrell isn't going fall apart the way Taylor does, but that 10th round knockdown was totally legit. King Arthur screwed himself out of his undefeated record the way Roy Jones did against Montell Griffin. Griffen I might add was ahead with two judges when RJJ pulled his ***** move.

Except AA was losing the 11th round.

Andre Dirrell does not = Jermaine Taylor.

While a KO can happen at any point in a fight what we saw in the preceding rounds would logically favour Dirrell winning on points as the most likely outcome. Dirrell was not really hurt at any point previously and was a mile ahead on the score cards.

While Dirrell was down in the tenth it's clear AA's foot caught Dirrell's heel and contributed to the knock down. Dirrell got immediately back up and didn't look hurt at all though he did go into a defensive shell as AA came on looking to follow up.

The 11th round seemed like the majprity of the earlier rounds. Dirrell was moving and boxing and outworking AA. AA only landed a couple jabs in that round prior to being DQ'ed so there was little to suggest he was going to KO Dirrell in any way.

Dirrell looked ready to go before the 10th round was over. It reminded me of Maskaev/Rahman 2. With only seconds left in the final round, anyone could tell that Rahman was done for and headed for the KO. I thought this fight looked very similar to that. I can't say for sure that Dirrell wouldn't have made it through the last two rounds, but I think AA was on his way to scoring a late KO.

very unlikely abraham was going to get the ko, which is why he did was he did. it was a split second decision born out of frustration/desperation.
dirrell was winning so convincingly that him 'acting' to get out of the fight would not have been a smart decision. it doesn't make any sense to act your way out when you're winning like that. with less than 5 minutes left? please.
this type of conjecture is an insult not only to dirrell but to the fight game in general (and anyone with a brain)
