I know styles make fights but both Froch / Pascal would take Taylor...
Kessler versus Froch would be a good fight down the line, would be interesting to see who he comes up against in his first defence...
Major Props to him though, a well deserved champ:thumbsup

Hi, been a lurker for a while...

That was some scrap, definitely one of the best fights of the year. Some right sickening punches were landed but both guys showed amazing chins.

Their defences were sloppy and I can see Kessler out-boxing Froch. Credit to him though and well done.

Really enjoyed the nights boxing on ITV. Entertaining undercard and a superb top of the bill fight. I had Froch 117 - 113 but I do feel I was harsh on Carl at times. Both put on a great performance and deserve credit. I do not think Froch will be a long reigning world champ but he has got the best belt he can have and he has poved he deserves to be in the mix at elite level. Hopefully Taylor will think he can beat Froch and give us another huge fight. I am worried about Frochs nerves though, he seemed abit low in confidence at times so big fights in America could be a step too far. Maybe he should do the best for him and fight at hom till he feels good enough to fight abroad much in the same way to JC.

you guys are talking about the harsh judges' scorecards - what were they?

I recorded the fight and recorder stopped 10 seconds into the last round!!

He doesnt have the heart or the chin pascal showed there. I'd back either of those two against any other supermiddleweight out there.

    Cards were 118-110, 117-111, 116-112.

At a rough guess the most cards I've seen round ESB have had it either 8-4 or 7-5 Froch. I had it 7-5, 115-113 myself.

    I had it 116-112, possibly 117-111

I'd struggle to give Pascal a round after 5

I did only watch it once and wasn't scoring closely, it was too exciting

But Froch controlled the second half of the fight

I thought the whole production on ITV was a lot better than some of the more recent shows, apart from those R'N'B singers doing intros fro "Tyson Fury" which didn't really work and looked quite arkward. Still not a patch on some of the top shows they put on in Germania though.

I had Froch by 6 myself, I thought he was ridiculously comfortable second half of the fight. I am biased mind!

3rd Hennessy ITV show, 3rd crap anouncer.

They should get Michael Pass or Craig Stephen.

Didnt he do the last ITV/hennessy show also? At one point in the arena when there was like ten minutes til the Froch fight he announced that, and was like he had to read the next card to know who Carl Froch was!

Other than that though, and those 2 birds singing it was a top night, and to be fair even though that didnt come off well fairplay to hennessy for trying something that gives it a bit of a big event feel. Was a top night!
