Can you please explain the term to me and why it can be offensive? What are the origins?

To me it just looks like he's using some slang for one of those people that throw those big ass poles.

I really can't see how there is a predjudice against a certain race, its not even in a racial context. Pathetic.

And to answer TFFP's question it not rascist in the slightest(in the context he meant it) but its a statement that the PC brigade can twist and say is offensive to black people when not one black person cared

other example of this pc stupidity include:

    Changing Blackboard to Chalkboard
Banning the Nursery Rhymes- Baa Baa Black Sheep and Brown Girl in The Ring

This then leads to situations like what has happened now
The next thing to change will probably be Blackmail to Bluemail

Yeah, they used spears, haven't you see the film Zulu?
Michael Caine had a very famous line in it, that he didn't actually ever say, "Stop throwing those bloody spears!".

I don't think any of those things are comprable to this issue. It's not even about racism or whatever, the guy said a bad thing in a totally innocent way, and he apologized. That isn't about being "politically correct" its about having manners and being polite.

What will the casino's do when you want to play Blackjack? (Is it now Greenjack - or is that racist against Martians?)

Coffee, sir - black or white?

Oh - I'm so sorry, that was offensive.......

    :bart

Racism is institutional to a certain degree, but having been brought up in an area of Leeds where there are more shades than the rainbow I have always treat as I have found - rather than seeing race as an issue for anything.

It seems, with the far-left PC brigade taking over, that simply disliking a black/asian person is racist. Ignore the fact that they have tried shagging your girlfriend or are simply a twat. No - you are racist.

Yeah, and there is not such thing as global warming either right? :-(
Actually, you might be right about the Zulu's, I wouldn't know.

Zulus used a club called the 'kirri' stick and a short stabbing stick called an Assegai. They also used captued rifles.

im not saying that they were comparable.... it was just an example of Pc lunacy
I know he didnt mean anything racist by it, but its the people who rang in to complain who turned it into a racial issue, im pretty sure that none of the people who did complain actually knew what Tessa was back in the day all they heard was "Spear chucker" saw a black face decided to complain
